Fail on buying a gauge cover with lifting leather. Why would you call that a win? Hopefully you didn’t pay much for the screwed up cover.

Bumper dye, not dressing, not gun

You could've used the crash repair as an opportunity to put a carbon fibre bonnet on. Then it wouldn't look so out of place begore you paint it because of the darker colour of the carbon.

Black trim spray paint is the ideal solution.just get it cleaned up with alcohol or awsome degresser .cost 1$ at the 99c. masque around with masking tape and spray it .it turn it like new😊

This is awesome I need to do this to my 99 s80 2.4i. It looks old and worn but I’m bringing it back to life.
BetA666 (10 months ago)
Please dip it „polestar blue“ and if you need a manual Transmission, let me know. I have aM66 (9482417) for sale.

I just did this last week to my 01 V70. you're not using anywhere near enough of the back to black. I used up almost the whole bottle of it, and got it back to all black in one sitting. I'm going to re-apply after the next wash, lightly as you did. Please try again, and just use a lot of back to black.
Liam Schnurr (10 months ago)
So, do you have a way of shooting video from other vehicles? That way we could see you guys shifting lanes
Liam Schnurr (10 months ago)
ShiftingLanes And are we gonna get to see Greg's Son?

Hey man, love the vids. I daily drive an 07 s60 R, and absolutely love the car to death. Quick tip too, if you ever have to jump start the car, be very careful and dont use another car to do it. When I did, I blew out my controller for the blower motor. Its possible it could blow other parts as well. Just wanted to let you know
Reily (10 months ago)
Tom Swain no I made sure to put them on the right way. If I put them on backwards I would have been in a whole new world of pain I'd assume. It was strange, but I think the spike in voltage just got to it... It was a 10 year old electronic after all
Tom Swain (10 months ago)
Did you possibly hook the cables up backwards? I've had my car for 7 years, I have had to jump it 3 times, I've also used it to jump other people at least a dozen times or more. I have yet to blow any module or electronic in the car.
MrAntennaBall (10 months ago)
you should get one of elon musk's flamethrowers which are actually blowtorches for that job. hehe!  don't forget headlight wipers/washers to add to your to-do list.
ShiftingLanes (10 months ago)
Don’t worry, they’re on it! -Gregson
Noah Harris (10 months ago)
One of the reasons I like the 05 and later when they made those painted instead.
YouRoPeeN (10 months ago)
You definitely need one of my bezel pods when you get around to hooking up a boost gauge. http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?473681-P2-Cluster-Bezel-Gauge-Pods

This is yuge !

After washing my V70R, I usually wipe down all plastic trim with a rag soaked with WD40. I get the same effect but it doesn't last. The plastic dries out after a couple of days and goes back to it's washed out appearance.
Jason Rivero (10 months ago)
weld the angle gear! look up "dougy s60r" on google (youtube aswell) he has done crazy amounts of mods all by himself. Maybe you guys can have some words with him!
David Bello (10 months ago)
Did you find the arm rest new or good , used?
ShiftingLanes (10 months ago)
Found it used on the FB groups. -Gregson
David Bello (10 months ago)
I just bought an 04 S60R so I binged all the videos you made on this car while detailing my car. I’ll be making videos on it as well, and this is one thing my R desperately needs as well. Good timing! 🙌

Thanks for watching! Good luck dude! -Gregson

Heatgun takes ages and doesn't last. Wurth PT dye FTW :-)
ShiftingLanes (10 months ago)
Yea took a while, but was rewarding to see the outcome 🙂 I’ll post an update on how it looks in a month. -Gregson
youtubasoarus (10 months ago)
Have the exact same break/divot in the armrest lol WTF.
youtubasoarus (10 months ago)
Yep, already had a go at fixing it. The plastic seems particularly thin in those areas. I've thought about a more extensive fix by adding more material and using epoxy for fixing it in place. But a new one would be nice, just not sure where i'd get one in the goby color. Dealer is out of the question for obvious reasons lol.
ShiftingLanes (10 months ago)
It’s from someone putting too much pressure on there and the plastic under cracking. So annoying! You can source plastic fixes, but a functioning, non cracked armrest will always be best. -Gregson
Colin Wahl (10 months ago)
Next time- clean with all purpose cleaner. Apply a product called solution finish. You can then keep it black close to forever if you apply carpro dlux plastic sealant. That back to black stuff is going to wash off or spot with rain.
phenusha (10 months ago)
Or if you want a cheap fix use linseed oil. Use a brush to apply and rub in with a cloth.
ShiftingLanes (10 months ago)
Good tip! As I stated in the video, the whole car is being restored so temporary fixes are good for now. -Gregson
kellypaws (10 months ago)
I really hope that's going to be a great car. Nooooooo!!!! Please don't dip it, get it proper paint. Just have the hood sprayed up meantime.
ShiftingLanes (10 months ago)
It will be! We’re going to dip it. But dip is temporary remember. It’s a true DIY project that I’ve always wanted to try. And we’re going to paint it eventually. The dip is a stop gap measure. -Gregson

“Just 2 torx screws guys!” “Sorry, only 6 torx screws”. “Actually there are 8 torx screws”. “CORRECTION, the world’s supply of torx screws are on this Volvo”
ShiftingLanes (10 months ago)
😂😂😂 exactly -Gregson
kellypaws (10 months ago)
You might want to blast the lane indicator contacts with a contact cleaner while you're there. Those things get tacky and refuse to indicate after a while.
hernan alonso (10 months ago)
you know that the trim can be just pull it, to be remove?
hernan alonso (10 months ago)

BigpoppaKC (10 months ago)

hernan alonso (10 months ago)
BigpoppaKC (10 months ago)
