Former Upper East Side psychic, Betty Vlado (AKA Betty Green) D/O/B 01-07-1969, engaged in a fortunetelling scheme to steal property valued at $55,000 from 3 women. Vlado stole our money by false or fraudulent pretenses, representations or promises, or willful misrepresentations of future acts. The crime involved gaining our complete confidence and trust, and then using fear and careful managed psychological manipulation, convincing us to give her money on numerous occasions. Vlado operated out of her Ofisa (Khristine Energy Crystals) on 247 East 77th Street in New York City and fled that location in early March 2013. Since May 2011, she has changed her cell phone number in excess of 5 times. She has two sons Sammy Smooth (married to Velvet with 2 kids), Nicky James (married to Fallon with 4 kids) and a daughter Amanda (married with 4 kids), as well as a husband named Johnny Green. She purported to reside in Brooklyn, NY. She was arrested on May 21, 2013 and on September 26, 2013 she pled guilty to one count of grand larceny, one count of fortune telling and promised to pay full restitution to the victims by January 15, 2014. On January 15, 2014, Vlado did not show up in court and a bench warrant for her arrest was issued. Vlado was arrested on April 16, 2014 and was remanded until her sentencing hearing which took place on May 5, 2014. On April 18, 2014, ABC 20/20 did a segment “MOOCHERS?” on fraudulent psychics in which Vlado was featured. Vlado paid the remaining restitution and was sentenced to 1-3 years in state prison for violating terms of the plea agreement. On May 14, 2014, Vlado was transported to The Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women where she began her sentence. Vlado has been transferred from this facility and is now serving her sentence at The Albion Correctional facility in upstate NY. Private Investigator Bob Nygaard, a member of the National Association of Bunco Investigators, who specializes in the investigation of con-artists, built the criminal case against Vlado after being hired by one of the victims. Anyone who has been also been defrauded by Betty Vlado should contact Private Investigator Bob Nygaard at (212)-514-7474 or (561)-596-3443. Below are three links to articles written by The NY Post, which feature Vlado completely disguised. There are obviously many more victims out there that need to be heard! Here are photos of her true appearance, her business card, her original ofisa and photos from the news articles that portray her looking like a covered up fool. Vlado was also featured in an article written by Boca Raton Magazine entitled A cop-turned-P.I. reverses the fortunes of fraudulent psychics (Nov 2014). Vlado and evil schemes are now recognized in the United Kingdom in an article featured in The Guardian (Feb 2015). http://nypost.com/2014/01/16/scamming... http://nypost.com/2013/09/26/psychic-... http://nypost.com/2014/05/05/jail-for... http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Betty-V...
