What is the secret to having a happy life? This is a very extensive topic, but I will do my best to keep the introduction short and to the point by covering one main thing that creates happiness. People believe that money and being rich will make them happy. Studies show that the amount of money a person makes a year correlates to the amount of happiness they experience up to about $70,000 a year. You could make $10 mil a year, and that amount would not make you any happier than if you made $70000 a year. So to an extent, money correlates with happiness, due to the ability to have enough money for basic needs and desires. being rich will not make you happy. There are Millionaires and billionaires who are miserable and depressed. Being rich will not make you happy. You can be rich, wealth, abundant and be happy, but it’s not money that will makes you happy. People belief that finding the love of their life and getting married will make them happy. If only I had that perfect woman or perfect man, my life would be complete and I would be happy! Unfortunately this is also untrue. 50% of marriages end in divorce. That does not even account for the people who are in a marriage that are unhappy. Don’t get me wrong, you can absolutely be happy being in a relationship, but being in a relationship is not what makes a person happy or create a happy life What about being famous, loved by everyone? How many celebrities end up getting depressed or going crazy? The spotlight always being on you always being judged. Fame will not make you happy. having that nice car, big house, retiring on a secluded island somewhere drinking margaritas and bathing in the sun all day? Maybe even traveling the world visiting all the most beautiful exotic places on earth. I know you’ve fantasized about that. Will this make you happy? It definitely sounds like it would, but it won’t. The truth is, most people would become bored out of their mind within a couple months. It’s ok if you believe these things will make you happy. I do too a lot of the time and still sometimes get sucked back into these beliefs. So what is it? If everything I thought would make me happy wont actually make me happy, then What is the secret to being happy? The secret, is growth and progress. The secret to happiness is growing. Growing in any part of your life that has meaning to you. You can be in a struggling relationship, but if you begin to take the steps to improve that relationship and grow in that relationship, it will begin to bring you happiness. If you are poor with a dead end job, all you need to do is start taking the steps to getting out of that poor dead end job. Whether that’s working harder, taking classes, reading, listening to audio books, feeding your mind, improving yourself, any steps forward. This will bring you true happiness. If you are unhealthy, or overweight, or have health concerns, begin to take the steps necessary to become healthy. Whether that is simply learning how to be health or actually working out and eating better. When you begin to take action and taking the steps to improve you life, to improve yourself as a person, to grow, you will begin to feel such joy in your life. You will have an overflow of energy coming to you, motivation to do anything. I know that is may seem counterintuitive because the steps to being wealthy, having a great relationship, being healthy actually requires you to be unhappy for some time. It requires you to struggle, it requires you to take risks and fail. And this in itself will cause you pain. But I assure you, the risk is worth the reward, because the opposite of growth is unsustainable. If you are not growing, you are dying. Weather that be your physical health, or your mental and emotional well-being. If you are not emotionally growing, you are emotionally dying. If you are not mentally growing, you are mentally dying, if you are not physically growing healthier, you are physically dying. This is why you are unhappy in certain areas of your life. If you are not growing in these areas, you will feel it. It will feel like something is missing. That is because you are not making any progress in this part of your life. But once you begin to take the steps that require you to grow, you will begin to feel that happiness throughout. We are humans. Everyone feels pain physically and emotionally. It is just a part of life and we have to accept that. We can not be happy at every moment of the day. How many times have you felt yourself trying so hard just to hold on to a happy feeling or moment in your life just to have it slip away? Then try so hard just to get that feeling back again. You must accept the fact that you can not and will not always be happy, but in these moments of unhappiness, you can know that the happy feeling may have gone, but it will always come back. Be grateful in the moment you are happy, and look forward to the future happiness you will experience.

How to sleep easily on a plane? People who can easily fall asleep on a plane are among the lucky few because most of us aren’t able to doze off in a cramped space, sitting in such an uncomfortable position and surrounded by total strangers. What if we told you there are some simple tricks that can help you catch some Z’s on board? Who knew that flying on a Tuesday or keeping your seat belt fastened could actually make a difference? Wake up 2-3 hours earlier on the day of your flight to help you fall asleep faster on board later on. - If you want fewer passengers and more space, pick the most unpopular days for booking flights: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as a rule. You might even get up to 3 seats to yourself! - Always try to pick a window seat to rest your head on the wall and not be bothered by your neighbor wanting to get up to go to the bathroom. If you normally sleep on your left side, aim for seat A. If your right side is your preferred sleeping position, pick the window seat on the opposite side of the plane. - If you want good quality sleep in the cabin, adjust your seat as far back as it’ll go. Just make sure the person behind you doesn’t mind. - To have a sound nap onboard, you should wear loose clothes made of natural materials that don’t constrict your movements. If your airline doesn’t provide blankets, take a jacket and warm socks too. - A seat belt fastened over your clothes or blanket won’t make your sleep more comfortable, but it will prevent flight attendants from waking you up if the plane experiences turbulence. - Light and noise are the main culprits that keep you from getting needed shuteye. So this answer might be obvious: use a sleeping mask and earplugs! - You can control the scents in your immediate surrounding. Just sprinkle the head rest or your travel pillow with some lavender oil or any other essential oil you like. - Don’t watch movies on your phone, tablet, or laptop because the blue light of the screen wakes your brain up. Most sleep experts say you should put away all your electronics at least half an hour, or, better yet, an hour before you plan on dozing off. - If you want to be fast asleep, don’t overeat onboard. On a long-haul flight it’s not only passengers who need their rest. During the course of the journey it’s important that the pilots and the cabin crew catch up on sleep. But they don’t struggle to snooze in economy like the rest of us. Unlike the flight attendants, who nap on bunk beds in small rest areas designated for crew, pilots have their own individual sleeping quarters, usually tucked away behind the cockpit. Here they can spend up to half of their time while on a long-haul journey, according to Business Insider. On most aircraft, the pilot’s bedroom is located above first class. On this Boeing 777, most passengers would be completely unaware the room existed as pilots access it by climbing hidden stairs. A British Airways flight attendant says: 'On the Boeing 747s it is all bunk beds and on the 777 it feels like you are in a coffin. 'They are cramped but you can make it comfortable as you get a blanket and a pillow. 'I always take my own pyjamas and I make a little bed up. I sometimes try to take pillows and blankets from business class if they aren't in use. 'It's very basic, some have TVs but they are tiny, smaller than iPad minis.' The rooms themselves differ according to the aircraft. While a little pokey, the standard pilot’s private sleeping quarters features two business class seats and comfy lie-flat beds to ensure they get a good night’s kip before returning to duty. There are also curtains to help drown out the sound of the plane and a phone should the resting pilot be needed. Depending on the plane, some come equipped with a sink or bathroom, so they don’t have to queue up down the aisle like the rest of us. Some pilot bedrooms even have a TV and Singapore Airlines treat their captains with satin pillows. Not all planes have these private pilot bedrooms with some having to make do with a simple area cordoned off by a curtain in business class. Of all the travel tips and travel hacks out there, this one has been the most useful. One big problem with air travel is legroom, especially in economy class. Travel advice and flying tips are dime a dozen, but this simple travel hack with save you a lot of discomfort if you end up with a aisle seat. This is one of the best tips I've found, and one I think everyone should know. Under the arm wrest of the aisle seat there is a secret button. Pressing this switch lifts the armrest up, and allows you to have much more leg room, and leg movement, especially when you need to exit the row. 80% of airplanes have this feature, but unfortunately not all of them do. It is there for flight attendants to left the armrest to allow for ease of exit during an emergency, and also for the disabled. Travelers rejoice, those long haul flights might have gotten a little more comfortable, and air transport a little more enjoyable. It's basically one of my travel essentials now.
