In my head, in my heart, in my soul. And maybe we'll get lucky and we'll both live again. Well I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Don't think so. Well that is that and this is this. You tell me what you want and I'll tell you what you get. You get away from me. You get away from me. Collected my belongings and I left the jail. Well thanks for the time, I needed to think a spell. I had to think awhile. I had to think awhile. The ocean breathes salty, won't you carry it in? In your head, in your mouth, in your soul. And maybe we'll get lucky and we'll both grow old. Well I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I hope so. Well that is that and this is this. You tell me what you want and I'll tell you what you get. You get away from me. You get away from me. Collected my belongings and I left the jail. Well thanks for the time, I needed to think a spell. I had to think awhile. I had to think awhile. Well that is that and this is this. Will you tell me what you saw and I'll tell you what you missed, when the ocean met the sky. You missed when time and life shook hands and said goodbye. When the earth folded in on itself.

10 Most Dangerous Waters in the World
From the mysterious Bermuda Triangle where ships go missing or sink to the Blue Hole in Belize a dangerous diving spot for tourists! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr Rivers of China, China 5. The rivers of China are dangerous, but they kill in a different manner than the other locations that have been featured on this list thus far. They kill through pollution. China has a population that is close to two billion, and this is a huge cause for the extreme amount of pollution in China. However, the pollution is not only restricted to the air, but it also persists in the water. The pollution in the water is composed of almost everything you could imagine: garbage, harmful chemicals, and even radiation. This causes a myriad of health problems for the people of China who live near the river. Almost no one actually goes into it. The people who live in the villages near the rivers of China are 35% more likely to get diseases such as cancer compared to the national average and people die much younger when they live near these infected waters. Conservation efforts to revitalize these rivers is an ongoing thing, but it will take some time before these rivers will ever be back to their former glory. The World’s Southern Ocean 4. The Southern Ocean of the World or the Antarctic Ocean is one of the harshest environments on our planet above and below the water. The Southern Ocean touches Antarctica on one side and three other oceans on the other. This ocean is not defined on our maps and in reality it is made up from parts of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. However, this ocean is unique in its sheer roughness. It has the highest winds and the biggest waves of our entire planet and sailing or even being out here is more dangerous than attempting to dive in the various sinkholes detailed on this list. In addition to the extremely dangerous environment in which this ocean exists, some of the most dangerous animals in the sea exist out here and can be a serious threat to human life in the waters. The most dangerous part of being here is the cold. It is regularly below zero degrees Fahrenheit, and the cold is one of the most prominent ways that this ocean kills people. The Indian Ocean 3. The Indian Ocean is another part of the world’s waters that kills differently than the other hazards detailed on this list. Unlike the rivers of China though, it is not the pollution that will get you. Rather it is other people who will get you. The waters of the Indian Ocean the most pirate-infested waters in the world. Most of them come from the small kingdom of Somalia where the people are so poor that they have been forced to go to the sea and raid passing ships with assault weapons just to get enough money to eat. These pirates will not hesitate to kill you because when they are hijacking your ship, if you resist (or even if you don’t) you are the only thing standing between them and feeding their families. In the Indian Ocean you have to be actively aware of pirates, if you are not you could end up dead or stranded and neither of those things are very good for your health. Brine Pool, Gulf of Mexico 2. The Brine Pool is an underwater location that sits at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. This newly discovered danger zone is basically death to anything that comes into it whether it be man or animal. The reason for the death caused here is due to the extremely high levels of salt in the water here. The salt density mixed with various other chemicals such as sulfur create a thick soup of death that kills anything to cross into it. The amount of acidic material in the brine pool causes animals and people alike to get effectively burned to death by the solvent-rich water. The crab that you see in the image has basically been pickled and boiled to death, according to scientists, and it was all because he was unlucky enough to fall into what some people are now calling “The Jacuzzi of Death.” This zone is fascinating to scientists, but overall it should be avoided by any reasonable person. The Bermuda Triangle 1. The Bermuda Triangle is essentially the most dangerous zone in the entire ocean. The catch is that none knows for sure why this is. There have been multiple theories attempting to relate why almost anyone who enters this triangle of water disappears. The driving theory is the presence of gas pockets under the water that rises to the surface and explodes causing ships to sink. If they do not hit a ship, they can rise into the air and potentially knock out the electronics in an aircraft. This is the most accepted theory, but other ideas such as the possibility of aliens or witchcraft have captivated observers of the Bermuda Triangle since its discovery as a dangerous zone.

Opinion: Salty Sea Air Cures all Lung Congestion Issues
However, if there is lung pollution from a nearby city present, then the sea air can't help much. Otherwise, the salt does a good job of purging the bad bacteria and viruses from your lungs. I noticed the difference when I drove from Wisconsin to Washington. I have been sleeping in my car every day for a year, and when I first started out sleeping in my car, my lungs had a harder time draining fluids out. When you sleep in the sitting up position, gravity works against the lungs. I never experienced such a lung congestion before in my life. I was scared and confused. But then I thought about what could possibly be causing me problems. I came to the conclusion that my problem was probably from a lack of air quality. So, I cracked open some windows in my car and that seemed to relieve the ling congestion a lot better. So, ultimately, the air quality problem turned around when I improved the circulation breeze. When I decided to move to Washington, well not actually move, since I had no intention of living anywhere, I was a little worried that I would experience worse breathing problems from the extra amount of moisture. However, my lung vulnerability didn't get any worse. Even though the moisture is much worse in Northwestern Washington, my lungs have been able to maintain their resolve. I would like to credit the salty sea air to prevention. Sea air is just what my lungs needed to ward off the evils of pneumonia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_therapy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cystic_fibrosis

Why Fish Can Drink Salt Water And We Can’t
When we drink saltwater it can kill us, yet our oceans are teeming with life. Why can some species survive in saltwater while others can’t? Why Can’t Some Birds Fly? ►►►► http://bit.ly/1UFLfQM Sign Up For The TestTube Newsletter Here ►►►► http://bit.ly/1myXbFG Read More: Study Sheds New Light on How Some Fish Adapt to Saltwater http://phys.org/news/2013-10-fish-saltwater.html “Tilapia fish readily adapt to fresh or salty water, making them both good candidates for aquaculture and potential invasive pests. New work at the University of California, Davis, shows how tilapia can change the protein makeup of their gills, allowing them to nimbly adjust to widely varying levels of water salinity.” Why Is the Ocean Salty? http://ponce.sdsu.edu/usgs_why_is_the_ocean_salty/usgs_why_is_the_ocean_salty.html “How salty the ocean is, however, defies ordinary comprehension. Some scientists estimate that the oceans contain as much as 50 quadrillion tons (50 million billion tons) of dissolved solids. If the salt in the sea could be removed and spread evenly over the Earth's land surface it would form a layer more than 500 feet thick, about the height of a 40-story office building.” How Do Salmon Change From Freshwater to Saltwater Fish? https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/05/150505082825.htm “For decades, researchers have tried to find out what regulates changes in salmon when they transform from being freshwater to saltwater fish. Now they have come a little closer to an answer. A new study shows that light -- increases in day length in the spring -- affects developmental processes in the fish's brain during smoltification.” ____________________ DNews is dedicated to satisfying your curiosity and to bringing you mind-bending stories & perspectives you won't find anywhere else! Put Salt in the Corners of Your House, and See What Happens
What will happen if you pour salt in the corners of your house? Spoiler: it will change your life. Here are the most unusual and powerful uses for salt. What is going to happen to you if you spill salt? Duh, it will bring you bad luck. We are sure you heard that, and you might believe it, or not. But have you ever wondered where that superstition comes from? Some people believe it is because Judas Iscariot spilled it at the Last Supper. Others find a more practical explanation: spilling salt meant bad luck and future loss because it was expensive. Expensive and precious. Yes, you heard it right. And why would salt be that important to anyone? It has some magical powers you might have never heard of. TIMESTAMPS History of salt 1:12 Salt was used in different rituals 1:50 Reviving shower 4:04 Good luck charm 4:46 Money attraction 5:14 Support in a foreign environment 5:35 Wash off the negative energy 6:15 Protect your home from evil visitors 6:40 Cast out the evil objects 7:02 The “witch bottle” 7:32 Good luck, peace, and prosperity 8:30 Salt has been around for thousands of years. You might see it just as something you add to your meals to add some flavor to them, but it meant much more to our ancestors. Harvesting salt used to be a long and complicated process, so only the rich were able to afford it. Ancient Romans even paid their soldiers with it, and the army appreciated that. It helped them preserve food, so that was fair enough. If you look at the origins of the word “salary” you will even see something salt-like in it. Yes, it comes from the Latin word for “salt.” Did you know that? If not, “like” this video to show you have just learned something new. Okay, it is clear that salt was expensive and highly appreciated. But that is just one side of it. From very old times, it was used in different rituals because of its magical powers. Ancient Egyptians, for example, would not set on a journey without performing a ritual involving salt. They burnt it on hot coals to scare away the evil spirits. Then, and only then, the caravans got on their way across the desert. We hope these tricks will help you feel better and live in harmony. Connecting That Salty Sea Smell and Climate Change - ACS Headline Science
There’s nothing like the smell of salty sea air over summer vacation. But instead of frolicking on the beach, a group of chemists is researching the compounds inside that air. Sea spray aerosols (SSAs) are created with every breaking wave. Kimberly Prather, Ph.D., Timothy Bertram and their teams have discovered in research published in ACS Central Science that SSAs have a huge impact on the planet’s climate. Want to learn more? Salton Sea Documentary 2015: California's Sea: A Date With Destiny
Amidst the nationwide focus on the drought in California, a major environmental and public health concern has once again been set in the shadow for the law makers of Sacramento. But for the Salton Sea - California’s largest lake and home to more than 425 bird species on the pacific flyway, time is running out. Time is ticking until 2017, when water allocations in accordance with the Quantification Settlement Agreement (2003) are significantly reduced and directly affect the Salton Sea. The Salton Sea is already more than 25% saltier than the Pacific Ocean, and with reduced water and rising salinity this region will no longer be able to support environmental life. To make matters worse, as the water level reduces and exposes years of agricultural runoff, giant dust storms have the potential to plague areas as far as Los Angeles, San Diego, and Northern Mexico. This surrounding region already has some of the worst rates of asthma in the state, and the socioeconomic suppressed immigrant working communities are suffering and have nowhere to move. This issue is not just about international bird populations and the environment, its about social justice, and rights to clean air. California is running out of time after decades of political indecisiveness and costly studies, something has to be done now to “Save Our Sea”. A short film project by Alex Cooke & Chris Norwood from Pitzer College Spring 2015.

Why is sea water salty?
Have you ever wondered why is sea water or ocean water salty and from where do these salts come from? The salt in the ocean comes from the rocks on the land. The rain that falls on the land contains some dissolved carbon dioxide from the surrounding air. This causes rain water to be slightly acidic due to carbonic acid, which forms when carbon dioxide and water mix with each other. Revenge of the Pink Panther (8/12) Movie CLIP - Salty Swedish Sea Dog (1978) HD
Revenge of the Pink Panther movie clips: http://j.mp/111nKFs BUY THE MOVIE: http://j.mp/111nIxo Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr CLIP DESCRIPTION: Clouseau (Peter Sellers) goes undercover as a one-legged Swedish sailor, complete with blow-up parrot. FILM DESCRIPTION: In Revenge of the Pink Panther, for the final time, the bumbling but impeturbable Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers) maddens his long-suffering boss Dreyfus (Herbert Lom), sharpens his wits and martial skills with his manservant Cato (Burt Kwouk) and foils the bad guys without ever having a clue about what he is doing. In the story, Clouseau allows a gang of drug racketeers to believe that he has been assassinated and dons a series of disguises as he travels all over the world in order to apprehend the culprits. He is assisted by Simone Legree (Dyan Cannon), the former girlfriend of the drug-lord Douvier (Robert Webber). Though it received a very mixed reception from critics, this, the sixth of the Pink Panther series, did very well at the box-office. Sadly, it was actor Peter Sellers' final Pink Panther performance before his death in 1980 (the later film, The Trail of Pink Panther was composed of outtakes from previous Pink Panther films). Kat ORIGINAL SONG "The Salty Sea"
Me singing my original song "The Salty Sea" Sorry you can't hear my finger picking too well... Let me know what you think! LYRICS: V1: He appeared in a flash of sunlight and sea air Love burned fast and deep into my skin Our love was our ship, built strong and fair Our feelings quickly ushered in. V2: Reluctantly, tears spilled from my eyes one day Coaxing, safe, he wanted more from me I thought love had come to stay Now he blames it on the salty sea C1: Blame it on the sea I'm left alone with only waves To comfort me Still, he blames it on the sea V3: For reason I do not understand "We're growing apart", says he Now he travels to another land He blames it on the salty sea C2: Blame it on the sea I'm left alone with only waves They're scaring me Still, he blames it on the sea V4: The arms I sought, the familiar embrace To soothe the waters that traced my face I feel the salt fill and sting my eyes But he says its not paradise C3: Blame it on the sea He's left me to the rocking waves They're drowning me Still, he blames it on the sea

I Love The Salty Sea Air at Mission Beach, California
Enjoying my time at Mission Beach. If your looking for that hot spot, full of action, dining, shopping get ready to party Beach. Mission Beach is that spot for you. With the bustling boardwalk to the fine dining and shopping "Hamels" being one of the oldest shops a true national landmark and Belmont Park full of rides, games. Our Rooler Coaster is one of the oldest and largest ones around the main attraction of Belmont Park. (Belmont Park is getting an upgrade they are brining back "The Plunge" an indoor swimming pool that you can watch people swim and a few other old time places are coming back. They want to fix it up how it used to be way back in the day. I think it's an awesome Idea. I miss the old Belmont Park and can't wait to see it's new bright beginning. There is so much to do here. Endless fun in the sun at the Beach. However, Mission Beach can be quite crowded with not enough parking spaces to go around. You must get there early to find a good spot. Sometimes people resort to parking across the street at the Bay. There is much more parking there but still on a busy day you could be waiting about 45 min for a spot depending on what time you go. If you would like to go later on in the day 7:45pm is about the best time to go. The early birds start leaving and a few late nighters come in but for the most part it starts clearing out a bit. In the Summer it's still light out so you can still enjoy the view of the ocean and Belmont Park stays open late. So the fun and excitement is not over yet. Mission Beach doesn't get a ton of surfers, it's more for swimmers, some families and Beach bunnies. You see a lot of men and woman trying to show off their hot bodies and swimsuits. Although, it has changed a bit in the last few years becoming more family orientated. The waves are perfect size waves. very pretty, foamy, bubbly lovely to watch and play in. They come from all different directions but be careful with small children, sometimes the rip current here drags them in and you can get clobbered by a way. With long stretch of Beach. You can walk all the way from Mission to Pacific Beach. It's a nice but very long walk. Great for a good scenic workout. Mission Beach is one of San Diego's more cleaner Beaches. The water changes it's color depending on when you go. the sunsets are beautiful. One thing I will add is the smell of the ocean, that fishy salty sea air is very strong here. It's one of the reasons I love Mission Beach so much. No other Beach around quite has that smell. Some of the other Beaches you don't smell anything at all. So some people might like it, others don't. It's all a matter of preference. So time to get groovy. Come on down to Mission Beach and enjoy it's beauty, fun and festivities.

How Seawater Desalination Works
CASE STUDY: Desalination is a complicated process, the Seven Seas Corp.* approached DaVinci Studio to develop an animation that simplified the explanation of the process. Taking a cue from Seven Seas we started with squiggly style animation to give the technical looking components a non-technical look. Bottom line is to go from engineering-speak to the layman's level. Desalination (also called "desalinization" and "desalting") is the process of removing dissolved salts from water, thus producing fresh water from seawater or brackish water. Desalting technologies can be used for many applications. The most prevalent use is to produce potable water from saline water for domestic or municipal purposes.
