While not all of them are implemented at once (thank goodness!), I write all of them down (both ideas and projects that are currently being implemented) so I know what's going on at any given time. In this video, I show you my rainbow sticky note white board in my office that I use to track and manage all of the projects for Alejandra.tv. We call it our "Tetris Board" because, well, it kind of looks like a Tetris board if you stand back and look at it. I absolutely love this board because it's visual (I can SEE what's going on) and it's color-coded (I love things that are color-coded if you didn't know ;). The whiteboard shown in the video was given to me by the retailer after I asked them if I could do a video on their cool product after learning about it in 2009. The post-it notes I bought on my own (with the exception of the red and light pink ones (those came with the board!).

selling woodworking projects at the fairgrounds
In this episode we're selling woodworking projects at the fairgrounds. Javi from Javi's Wood Shop called me up and asked if I'd like to join him at Santa's Enchanted Forrest. That's a fair here in Miami. It's all Christmas themed with rides, food and all that goes with places like this. This was a last minute thing and we had 2 weeks to prep for the booth. So we batched out a lot of wooden items leading up to the day. We also had to build a display to enclose our area at the fair. So we used trellises to accomplish that task. There's a lot that went into it. Anyhow, check out the video and the links below if you'd like to support our efforts. DIY Vacuum Pump And Chamber
How to make a simple but effective vacuum chamber with a fridge compressor and a steel pot. Very inexpensive if you can find these few components used! A vacuum chamber is needed for some other projects that I'll do in the future like degassing resin, plaster, silicon and wax or stabilizing wood! Be sure to subscribe if you are new to the channel and turn notifications on so you won't miss upcoming video. Index of operation and materials: 0:03 fridge compressor 0:19 Steel pot 27cm diameter, nice thick walls 0:21 Specific high strenght polycarbonate 10mm (better use thicker like 20mm for regular polycarbonate or plexiglass) 0:32 Gas rated tubing with thick walls secured with steel hose clamp 1:10 Finding, center punching and drilling hole 1:31 Threading for 1/4 inch pipe thread connector 2:00 Various 1/2 inch pipe connection. Doesn't matter size get cheapest, I'm pretty sure any measure would work just fine 2:02 Vacuum gauge bought on amazon: https://amzn.to/2Olh55T (affiliate link) with 1/4inch female to 1/2inch male adaptor 2:10 Assemble everything with teflon tape and "Hand Tool Rescue" wrench 4:09 Connect other end of the compressor pump to the valve assembly again with steel hose clamp 4:12 Sealing the edge of the pot with car door rubber trim (used to prevent damage to edge of car's doors) 5:00 leak between seal parts filled with silicone 5:50 rewiring pump power cable and adding a power switch to one of the live wire to make it easier turning on and off the pump 8:05 Thick MDF board used as base 8:42 Rubber feet added to the bottom side of the base With my particular compressor I'm able to pull -27.5 inHg. The ball valve between the chamber and the compressor was not needed at the end, the compressor must have some kind of one way valve so even when it's turned off it does not let air in. BEST Background Instrumental Music - for Coffee, Creativity and Busy Work (Work Music)
STUDY MUSIC on ITUNES: http://bit.ly/smpitunes This is the BACKGROUND INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC/ RELAXING MUSIC / COFFEE MUSIC PLAYLIST. Depending on what stage of life you are in right now, I have listed a summary of HOW and WHEN this music should be used. This playlist is particularly good if you find yourself in any of the following situations: Background Music Instrumentals for Office work: So, you've graduated from school/college and have now enter the real world. Not exactly as exciting as you would have imagined eh? Get through your 9-5 work day with this playlist. It will increase the productivity and make that busy work on your desk or your to-do list less painful. Relaxing Music for Homework: As you sit down at your desk, you realize you have been assigned 100 PROBLEMS for Math homework! That is just inhumane! How could they?! I mean granted, it's only every other odd number question, but STILL..you're not a robot! You need to enjoy life! They'll never understand. Don't worry, beat the boredom of mundane task by putting on this playlist. The beats will help you stay focused on this task, and chances are, you'll finish your homework before this playlist ends. Concentration Music for Writing Essays and Reports: This is the last time you will leave 12-page papers or reports to the night before. That's what you said 3 papers ago, but here you are. But for sure, this is the last time. And that's that. Well, time is ticking, and you CANNOT afford to waste any of the 9 remaining hours you have left. Get some coffee, Put this playlist on with headphones, and DO NOT LEAVE YOUR COMPUTER. No more writer's block with this music. You will have this essay done after maybe..oh..8 more repeats of this playlist. Ultimately, this is the music of productivity. It is optimal for any task that requires kinetic learning, practicing, or motor execution. Improve yourself and make yourself more productive by listening to this playlist. 1. My Radical Project. Architecture and Eco-design by Paolo Deganello | Experimenta Magazine
Paolo Deganello has regularly collaborated with Experimenta since the publishing house was founded in 1989. His reflections and tireless activity as a feature writer, whose work we have frequently shared with our readers, have contributed to building a critical vision of design, marked by a firm commitment to the crucial issues of our time. "Nowadays, designers have to go against the market, they have to head in an ecologically sustainable direction. They have to be brave enough to bite the hand that feeds them," Paolo Deganello declares decisively. Paolo Deganello was born in Este (Padua) in 1940. After graduating with honours from the Faculty of Architecture in Florence in 1966, he opened the studio Arquitectura Radical Archizoom Associati that same year, along with Andrea Branzi, Gilberto Corretti and Massimo Morozzi. He worked at the studio until it disbanded in 1972. He then began freelancing in Milan, which he still does today, combining his architectural and design projects with teaching positions. Since 2006, he teaches at ESAD in Matosiñho (Oporto) and since 2008 at the Architecture Faculty in Alghero (Italy).
His work is featured in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Design Museum (London), the Museum of Modern Art (Toyama, Japan), the Denver Museum (Denver, USA), the Vitra Design Museum (Weil am Rhein, Germany), the Museo do Design of the Cultural Centre of Belem (Lisbon) and the Museo del Design della Triennale in Milan. The Brutal Tattoo Ritual Built on Pain
Tattoos hurt, but for most people, the pain is just a means to an end. Tattoo artists are usually mindful of their client's pain threshold, catering for breaks and mitigating any unnecessary brutality. It's abnormal for tattoo artists to restrain people while they're getting tattooed, or for the tattooee to bolt upright in agony to escape the needle's unrelenting penetrations. Nor is it very common to see sadistic mirth occupying the faces of multiple tattoo artists as they inflict the unnaturally long, thick, shallow lines seemingly without pause. Enter Brutal Black. It's the tattoo project where mandalas come to die and where pain is prioritized over aesthetics. Ritual and rebirth are at the forefront of this project helmed by Valerio Cancellier and Cammy Stewart. They take those brave enough to be tattooed by them on one of the most brutal experiences one can imagine; far beyond one's threshold for pain to create an entirely new experience. How to make wood scoop
In this project I make wooden scoops from an ancient oak beam from a local farmhouse. I need those scoops for feeding my chickens. I finished one just with my homemade foodsafe wax, and for the other one I give a try with "shou sugi ban" (charred wood technique) which I think leaves a very interesting looking. Will definetly use it again for a further project. I hope you enjoy this project. Leave your comments and questions. I’ll be pleased to answer all of them. Always read your owner's manual and take all the recommended safety precautions seriously. Chisels Handwork in woodworking tends to be the line where craftsman and factory worker split. Working by hand enables one to create joinery which most machining cannot. The preciseness of the chisel in removing waste enables for a tight and perfect fit in joinery. Chisels come in every shape and size as well as different materials. The harder the material, the less one would need to sharpen, enabling more time to work. Chisels are used in creating dovetails, mortise and tendons, and much more. Japanese Saw The circular saw is a hand held or table mounted saw. Circular saws come with the ability to set the depth of the blade, which enables one to create cut offs, dados and narrow slots. There are upsides and downsides to all saws, and the one down side to the circular saw that its light weight sometimes causes it to move when cutting, and stability in the machine is important for the cut and for safety. On the other hand, this is also its advantage. The versatility and the mobility of this saw gives one the freedom to work anywhere. Power Drill Power drills are something most people have in their homes, and something every father in law should buy for their kids’ wedding. Therefore, this is probably not something one would need to go out and buy. As you can see, there is no drill press on this list; perhaps it would be number 11, 12, or 13. The point is that starters should buy what they can get away with to achieve similar results. With that being said, there are ways to convert your hand held drill into a drill press, if necessary. Additionally, the versatility comes with options of other accessories. Jigsaw The jigsaw, another hand held and versatile saw, is used for cutting curves. One has a lot of freedom with a jig saw because it can cut curves, circles and straight. Depending on the width of the blade, the curves can be very fine. The down side to the jigsaw is that straight lines can be difficult depending on the wood you are cutting. No matter, it is important to make sure to always have sharp blades. Random Orbital Sander This hand held sander is a great finish sander. When sanding, grain directions should be the first thing one looks at when deciding which direction to move the sand paper. With the random orbital sander, because of its circular movements, one does not need to take too much notice in the grain direction. Plus, with a velcro pad, switching sandpaper discs only takes a few seconds. Most sanders allow for speed control as well. This is an important feature because you do not want to over or under sand your work since what you leave behind after you finish sanding is going to exist. Table Saw The table saw is the center of most workshops; it is the largest and most imposing tool in the shop. While it is an important tool, one could claim that table saw need not be on this list. However, it is an important tool and shows that creating a shop is not a matter of just collecting hand tools. There are jobs that hand tools cannot do as well as tools like the table saw, especially when there is such a wide variety of blades which can be set up and changed for so many different applications. Table saws create straight and consistent cuts. When setting up a table saw for a cut, one needs to set the depth of the blade and adjust the fence according to the width desired. Compound Miter Saw

Hard At Work On The Off Grid Project
In the morning my neighbor helped me pull my Ford tractor off the heavy equipment trailer so I could get the trailer ready for sale. His truck only had 2 wheel drive and dug itself into the ground so I had to bring over my 4 wheel drive truck to pull the tractor off the trailer. With my neighbor's help we got the tractor off the trailer with no problem. I started painting the trailer. We put a new jack on the trailer because the old one was damaged. I also painted the heavy equipment hauler to get it ready for sale. I let the baby chickens out of their little pen so that they could mingle with the bigger birds and they all got along well just as I had hoped. I had the chicks in a smaller pen inside the larger free range chicken area for the past week so all the birds could get used to each other. The larger birds accepted the young birds with no problem. All the chickens are getting along well. The large roosters even try to protect the little ones when I pick one up and it chirps in fear. That is exactly what I had hoped for. Now the larger roosters will protect and watch over the little ones. Later I worked on the old camper a bit and hauled a load of batteries over to the solar workshop on wheels. It looked like the mysterious unknown lie detector man was trapped by someone. He need to help him so he can escape! He left a tracking device and we used our gadgets to search for hidden underground passageways that may lead to his location. 75 - New 60 gallon Compressor installation for the Woodworking Shop Ingersoll Rand
75 – New 60 Gallon Compressor installation Join our Woodworking group. Share pictures of your work & get help if needed. Join our King’s Fine Woodworking Community Page. Woodworkers helping other woodworkers. Share advice, get project ideas. Free tips. Insider information. Get the best deals on lumber & tools. http://www.facebook.com/groups/KingsFineWoodworkingCommunity Our old 60 gallon Husky Compressor finally went out. It was actually because I forgot to check the oil, and it became too low, and seized up the pump. Very sad for sure. So, on the advice of a friend, and several others in our King’s Fine Woodworking Community Group, I went with an Ingersoll Rand 60 gallon compressor. This video covers how we swapped out the two. One interesting thing to note. Is that the Ingersoll Rand, I was told by many, is the upper end of compressors, and the Husky is the lower end. Yet the prove between the two, was only about $65.00. Not really a huge difference for something with a much better reputation and warranty. The compressor was bought entirely by us, with no sponsorship of any kind. I don’t really know how good it is. But, I can use it for 6 months or a year, and then report back on it for those interested. How to Set Up a Garage Workshop
Ask This Old House general contractor Tom Silva heads to Chicago to transform a garage into a woodworking shop. Watch the full episode: https://www.thisoldhouse.com/watch/ask-toh-workshop-light-switch Cost: $2,000-3,000 Skill Level: Moderate Tools: Miter saw Table saw Drill/Driver Sander Planer Jig saw Pocket hole jig Shopping List: 2x4 lumber Sheet of ¾” Birch plywood Window Fan J Hooks Table Saw stand Steps: 1. For the folding workbench, build a frame out of 2x4 lumber approximately 4 feet long by 3 feet wide. Include two additional 2x4s for center supports. 2. Attach a 2x4 leger to the long side of the workbench using hinges. This leger will screw into the wall. 3. If you’re also using the workbench as an outfeed table, it should be slightly lower than the top of your table saw. Once you know that height, cut two 2x4s to serve as legs and attach them to the inside of the front of the frame using hinges. 4. Use a masonry drill bit and concrete screws to fasten the leger of the folding workbench to the wall. Cut ¾” plywood for the bench top, and allow 1 1/2-2” around three sides for an overhang for clamping. Attach the workbench top to the frame by countersinking screws.

Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it.
