We're here to answer your questions. If you have one, leave a comment below, and we may answer it in next week's episode. So Adam, what's this week's question? This one is from Dipak. It says, hey Neil, thanks for making this awesome video. Would you like to make one video about product launches? Like pros and cons during the launch process? The first thing you need to know when you're doing a product launch is that you need to have a platform that allows you not only to sell the product but to deliver the product. A simple way to sell the product is using click funnels. A simple way to deliver the product is using Kajabi. Kajabi allows you to deliver a course to people once they buy. Click Funnels allows you to optimize the funnels so you can get more purchases and sales. Technically, Kajabi can do all of that. But I prefer Click Funnels on the front end, and I love using Kajabi on the back end to deliver the course, drip people the content over time. Now that you got the software solutions, what you want to do is create a web page with the offering for your product launch. Use Click Funnels to create a video talking about your product, the price points, what they're going to get for it, and you can just create a script. Create a little quick intro video on Click Funnels. You can do this on your iPhone. You say in this intro video, hey everyone, wanna learn how to grow your YouTube channel? Register for this webinar. I'm going to show you 11 secrets on how to grow your YouTube channel. Once they register, you have a PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoint presentation is going to be around 45 minutes to an hour. The first 30 minutes you're going to educate them on all these cool crazy YouTube tactics. Don't charge for it. Just give away all the information for free. After you do that, you said, hey, now that you've learned everything, do you want to hear a simpler way to grow your YouTube channel? I showed you all the ways that you can do it on your own, but would you like to learn some of the hacks that I use that speed up the process so that way you don't have to take seven, eight months to get results and you could get results in three months? Usually, people say yes. Then you hook them with a special offer. Normally, if I did one on one YouTube consulting and you went to people in person, you're going to charge five figures. You would end by saying, but, if you want to do this, I have a special offer for you, you can get it now for whatever price. Once you have people are saying yes, yes, yes. Then what you want to do is send them to a page where they can check out. You can do this all on Click Funnels. You can also do this live. You host a live webinar once a month, or you can make an evergreen webinar. If you want to make an evergreen webinar, webinar jam has software called everwebinar. Once you've completed those steps, you can drive traffic to your product launch using YouTube ads or Facebook ads. Facebook ads tend to convert better than YouTube ads. The other strategy for a product launch is to go to all the popular bloggers in your space, contact them and offer to give them 30, 40, 50% of every single sale you drive. Do a joint webinar with them. They'll push your product, and you can generate sales. ConvertKit does a wonderful job of this. Their revenue figures are public. They're doing over ten million a year in revenue. Most of their revenue is driven by affiliates and launches. Another product launch tip is to contact all of the people who clicked on your check out page but didn't buy. You re-market to them with the YouTube and Facebook video that breaks in with what they would get if they purchase. Send them back to the check out page. You'll notice it will be your highest converting ad campaign. That's what we did. It has worked amazingly well. It still works. 7 steps to create a new product

Hi, my name is Jonathan Globerson. I'm a professional industrial designer. I'm also the CEO of GloberDesign, a product development company located in North Miami Beach in Florida. I want to tell you about the simple steps that you need to take in order to launch a new product into the market. The first thing to do is research. Do your research really good: locate your market; look who is your competition; how much are they selling their product for; what are their features; do they have any patents on it. Then you'll also do an additional patent search. That can either be done by yourself, or by a hired professional attorney or any other firm that can help you do that. Next, simply take a pen and paper and start sketching. Even if you're not the best sketcher in the world, it's fine; all you need to do is put your idea onto paper. Next, you need to create a 3D computer model. The way to do that is either hire a 3d computer artist or a 3D CAD draftsman and have them convert your beautiful sketch into a real 3D model. What they do with that? You can do with that various things. The first thing you can do with that is you can create a prototype. A prototype is the first sample of the actual product that you're having in mind. We can do it with various ways. Today we have 3D printers - they actually read a 3D computer model and they convert that into plastic parts that could be used and shown physically. The other thing that you can do with your 3D model is create patent drawings. These patent drawings you can apply for what's called a Provisional Application. That gives you 12 months of patent pending status. That's just enough time for you to start to pitch your investors, talk to buyers, talk to factories, and find out more details on how you can actually make your product come true. With the 3d computer model you also send that out to a factory, have them first sign for you what's called a Non-Disclosure Agreement, meaning anything that... information they receive, they keep it as a secret. With that you'll get real manufacturing pricing and then you can make your own business plan. So, now you know your manufacturing pricing, you can figure out what's going to wholesale for, and what is going to be the retail price. Last, start making some marketing materials. Do a sales sheet, a brochure about your product; maybe even a kickstarter campaign, or maybe just a promotional video, just so you could show people what do you have in mind and try to get more attraction. So this series which is primarily aimed at students studying industrial design, product design or design engineering in university is designed to do just that, give you a knowledge boost to hopefully make your projects, designs, presentations and portfolio a lot better to improve your chances of getting a position as a designer, or your projects if you want to start your own company, anything related to design. I also hope with the content, that everyone will be able to take something away from it as many of the tips I'll give over the course of this series will be applicable to lots of areas of life. There's just isn't enough out there on product design, compared to say cookery shows it's very under provisioned and so I'm trying to redress the balance. Hack #3 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Use SuperURLs When someone clicks on your product listing after finding it using the Amazon search engine, they enter using a SuperURL: It’s a URL containing tracking information that tells the Amazon algorithm that they arrived at your listing through finding it using the search engine. You can give people this URL instead of your usual product URL to trick the algorithm into thinking that people found (and bought your item) through finding it using the search engine. Be aware though, this is a controversial method. Experts like Daniel recommend only pushing through a maximum of 20% of your sales this way. Hack #4 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Use paid advertising You can place paid ads in the Amazon search engine for your item, targeting specific keywords. When someone buys a product through clicking on it, not only will this increase your sales velocity - but it’ll help your product rank organically for that keyword as well. Hack #5 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Increase the conversions on your listing & get reviews It’s not enough to get the initial sales & conversions from drastically lowering your price: You need to have a high-converting listing so that when you reach the top of the search results you’ll keep making more sales than your competitor, otherwise the Amazon algorithm will drop you in the results. Here are some tips for increasing your conversions on your listing: * Have the maximum number of HD photos that are big enough the customer can zoom in on them. * Have a keyword rich product title. * Have multiple bullet points with excellent copy. * Have a descriptive product description that has photos included in it. Be sure to email and follow up with your customers, asking them to leave an honest review. If you do this, you can increase the rate of people leaving a review to as high as 10-15% (compared to less than 5%). When you are approved it lets you advertise on lots of pages on Amazon, such as your competitor’s pages. Because it requires pre-approval, most of your competition won’t be using it. So you can use this to place ads in larger amounts than 99% of your competitors and outsell them.

If you, like me, thought you could never make your own digital product(s) and market them, because it's just too overwhelming, there's just too much to do and maybe you just don't know enough about your topic, think again. In fact, don't think, don't procrastinate, don't even think about thinking about it.... just GET Torsten Muller's 'LAUNCHING BLUEPRINT'! Then, make yourself a drink, sit down in your favourite comfy chair where you can view the videos and immerse yourself completely in this straightforward, step-by-step guide to making and launching your own product(s) (You don't even need to take notes - Torsten has thought of that and included 'Check/Cheat Sheets'). I honestly can't think of a single thing Torsten has not included in this training. Not one thing! It's all there - everything you need to know and then, everything you need to actually DO! That said, you are going to need certain third party tools, most are just websites you need to be a member of, such as 'WarriorPlus', which is a site you will want to be selling your products on. However, Torsten does take you through some of the step-by-step training creating website pages using paid for software like the Optimizepress Theme. Whilst that's a very good theme for marketers it is by no means the only player in the market place, so I did find it a tad irritating that even though he makes clear you don't need the same tools he has used, he then proceeds to go into great detail on some of the trainings about exactly how to use his preferred tools. Not in my opinion a deal breaker, but I can foresee a few folks feeling a little bit lost if they don't have the exact same tools as Torsten. This is no - 'everything is done for you - you don't have to do any work' type system. It takes real work, real focused work to create your own product(s) and launch them and if you don't use the tools Torsten personally prefers and demonstrates, you will need a working knowledge of the ones you do. But then, isn't the secret of being able to do any job, not how hard it is, but just KNOWING what you need to do and then well, just getting on with it? Torsten Mullers 'LAUNCHING BLUEPRINT' is not for the faint hearted, the tyre kickers or the 'I want it all done for me' kind of people. But, if behind your procrastination about creating your own product(s) was that all you really lacked was the knowledge about how to set about producing and launching them; it's all here and as you would expect, there's even an upgrade deal that gets you direct access to the man himself, if you feel you still want the personal touch of a mentor. The 7 Steps To A Perfect Product Launch | Episode 006 | James Wedmore and Phoebe Mroczek In this episode, James and Phoebe share with listeners the 7 essential ingredients to planning a product launch properly so you can actually accomplish your goals, while enrolling your entire team in the process. Planning is the key in doing this. James quotes Brian Tracy: “Every minute you spend in planning saves 10 minutes in execution” Phoebe’s former basketball coach has a saying: “Proper planning prevents p*ss poor performance” The bigger your team gets, the more essential proper planning becomes. For James, planning was the opportunity to enrol everybody else in the goals and intentions for the launch. Step #1: Set the intentions for the first meeting Identify the strategy beforehand, so everybody knows what their roles will be. This way, they can be responsible, held accountable and have clarity. This will get them onboard with the “big picture.” To Phoebe, the intention was the most important thing as it showed her that everybody was heading in the same direction. Step #2: Ask everyone on the team what they want to get out of the launch Not everybody is motivated by money; it’s a job, but sometimes people want prestige or acknowledgment. By involving the entire team in the planning process, James gives people the opportunity to choose for themselves what type of outcome or benefit they will get for themselves. He finds that team members want to grow, or be a better person by the end of the launch. For Phoebe, she wanted to be a confident leader who is delegating effectively, as well as having it be a stress-free process. James himself wanted to be a more effective leader. Step #3: Determine what is the intention, or commitment, to the audience James asked everybody in the launch committee this question, individually, and blended together the results to come up with the following: “We are committed to changing lives by inspiring entrepreneurs to what’s possible through easy and effective strategies” Phoebe adds that when you come up with something together, it’s so much more powerful. Everyone feels like a bigger part of things. Step #4: Set your goals James shares his goals with the entire team, and believes it is important that they know “the game you’re playing.” In order to perform better, your people have to be informed. He sets three goals: “Middle-Of-The Road”, “Hairy-Scary” and “Wimpy-Wimpy.” This is meant to stretch you, without making you feel like a failure if you don’t hit the goal. He comes at the goal from a place of confidence, knowing he’s done it before. “If you go into something with zero confidence – good luck” Step #5: Share and create the launch plan Show the team what the entire process is going to look like when it’s actually in the launch period. James’ team intentionally left holes so that the entire team could come together to fill in the gaps. He considers this step as the “meat” of your plan. Step #6: Identify the roles and responsibilities Everyone has different talents but look at it from a project standpoint, rather than a skills standpoint. The meeting determined the responsibilities for every task of the launch: the videos series, emails, Facebook ads, etc. James’ responsibility was affiliates, while Phoebe was assigned the marketing funnel. They share with listeners the concept of the RACI chart (responsible, accountable, consult & inform). Step 7: Ask the team what it is going to take to achieve the goals This could be getting enough people on the webinars, or watching the video series. It could be related to the organization; having more structure as a team. James creates a follow up question, “what is that going to look like?” They created two types of calendars, one visual and one in list form, for example. Daily “scrums”, or short meetings virtually, was part of the team’s launch (see “INTERVIEW LINKS” for book referenced in episode). They note that the scrums were only done during the launch period, when everyone was focused on the exact same thing. James concludes the show with: “If you want to make an impact on the world, and grow as an entrepreneur, you can’t do it alone.” James and Phoebe will be recording a follow-up to this podcast, with specific results from the launch that was discussed. As we get closer to the launch of http://videoovertakeuniversity.com I thought it would be a cool idea to show you how we host our videos, set up the design of the site and what my day looks like as I work more and more on the updated version of Video Overtake University. I have been working every chance I get to launch the product and get all the new content up. I have literally been working from morning to bed time (with scattered breaks), sometimes 7 days a week, getting everything ready. Right now the days consist of creating content, content, content. I created the designs for the new layout and sent those over to my web guy who is updating the look of the new site and creating all the new pages. Once I created the outline and the new look and feel it was pretty easy. I have a web guy I found on elance to do the project and he is working on it for me while I finish all the content. Having someone else work on it is actually a new change for me because I did the entire first version by myself and it took fooorrreeevveveerrrrr! Now, I am all about working on the areas that actually require me, which is the content. This also means putting systems in place to run the actually SoldWithVideo.com side of my business. I put a team in place to handle the day to day videos, production and orders so I am out of the picture and it allows me to work on this without any worries. And finally, as I create content I add it to my Vimeo account, which is where we host all our videos, and get them ready to be added to the site. I send the embed code to vimeo to my web guy and we adds them to the site nad BLAMO! The site is getting closer and closer! Private labeling can be done on numerous levels, and one level that I did not mention in this video is informational private labeling, where you add a manual or how-to tips to your product--information that you personally wrote, so that no one else can mimic your product. Here are the main levels of private labeling your product on Amazon: First Level: - In your listing title, add "By [Your Company Name]" - Upload your logo as one of your product photos. Make sure it is not the first photo or the last two photos. Second Level: - Have your logo printed on a sticker that you attach to your product or to the packaging. - Have your logo printed on the product or the retail packaging of your product Third Level: - Accessorizing. Add accessories to your core product that no one else is adding to theirs. A powerful way to achieve this which makes it extremely hard for competitors to compete with you is by adding a training manual or instruction tips that you personally wrote. Fourth Level: - Trademark your company name and logo. HOW TO WIN AT THE LAUNCH GAME IN 589 WORDS (or fun ways to break the losing streak) Step 1: create a product that provides actionable content as well as entertainment value Step 2: Get the sales page and download page done (your smart if you put a facebook comment box on your sales page) Step 3 Get the JV page done Step 4: Set up autoresponder sequence for buyers (be smart here. It needs to further build your authority, continue to build goodwill, but also have an avenue that leads to money. Step 5: Set a launch date (at least 1 month out) Step 6: Find 5 facebook groups that care about what you are going to be trying to launch and become part of those scenes. Spend some time there every day and be part of the scene. Like, comment, reply…engage these people. They are your customers they just don’t know it yet. Start friend requesting at least 5 to 8 a day who have positive interaction with you or like your comments. Step 7: Two weeks out from launch leverage the cover of your product by placing it on your banner on all social profiles and any free advertising spaces you have in your scenes as well as your personal blogs or assets. Also announce the launch date. Step 8: Start to release free helpful content that you have created that is geared towards people who will care about the product that you are releasing. This content can mention your upcoming product but it must have a primary focus on free actionable helpful content that is story driven. Step 9: Create a facebook fan page for your product pin the sales video along with a link to the sales page on your page. Step 10: Invite all your new friends to like the page. Step 11: 1 week before launch go to each of your facebook groups and say you have 5 review copies you’d like to give people. That’s 25 in all. Tell these reviewers that you would like for them to leave you feedback right on the sales page in the facebook comment box. Give them a link. Step 12: List your product launch on muncheye.com (if you are in the IM space) Step 13: Target 50 JV’s that make sense to you. Don’t aim for the highest level influencers. Aim for people that are a couple steps above you. Your goal is 10 on board. Contact them through facebook. Give them review access and give them a link to the JV page. Take no rejection personal. You’re investing in a long game with these affiliates that will go on past this initial launch. Step 14: Give your affiliates 100% commission. If you have a funnel in place give them 50% through the funnel. Step 15: Launch your product and have the launch run for 4 days. At the end of this 4 days, triple the price of your product. Step 16: Every day during the 4 days talk about your product and talk about it as something valuable that is on sale. Make sure to mention the fact that it will go up in x days time. (classic 4 day cash machine strategy as learned by Frank Kern) Step 17: After launch cycle, raise the price of your product, keep your list warm and start working on the next one.
