The goal of this case study is to be as up-front and transparent as humanly possible, and to literally show you exactly how to launch your product like a pro. The art and science behind product launches is probably one of the most important parts of the Amazon FBA business. It's so incredibly vital for your short, medium, and long term success. You MUST have proven systems that work time and time again if you truly want a high performing Amazon business for years to come. A successful launch means that at the conclusion, you should have established multiple page one rankings for different keyword phrases, and you should be making organic, full price sales. After all... the reason why we love selling on Amazon so much is the fact that we can leverage their MASSIVE pre-existing traffic, without having to pay for it ourselves. If you're selling on Amazon but having to pay to acquire all of your sales, then what's the point? If you can't routinely make full price sales, while maintaining a SUPER low cost per customer, you might as well just sell on your own website instead of Amazon. At least you'd make more profit and save on the fees...
⭐ SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS... As I outlined above, you MUST have proven replica-table systems for launching your products. Of course, there's no ONE perfect system that works for all products. There are multiple ways to skin the cat. In this training video I'm simply documenting how exactly I launch products for myself, and clients over at Coulproducts.com. I've tested countless ways over the years for ranking Amazon products. It's been an obsession of mine to figure out how the A9 algorithm functions from a fundamental stand-point. No Amazon seller will ever know exactly how it functions, but you can sure get a good idea once you throw enough of your hard earned money into learning and accumulating data.
⭐ WHAT WORKED YESTERDAY MAY NOT WORK TODAY... If you're not constantly adapting and keeping up with the times, you're going to fall behind. One of your jobs as an Amazon seller is to be on top of your game every single day. Running tests and recording data is paramount for success. In the past we could run 99% off discount coupons and basically rank ANY product on the top of the first page. It was really that easy. Set up a brain dead simple Facebook ad, or blast your email list a couple times and BOOM! job complete. Unfortunately, OR fortunately, it's not that simple anymore. There's far more nuance and strategy required to achieve results nowadays. For me, and some others... we LOVE IT when things become harder. We LOVE IT when Amazon makes some big change and people inside of Facebook groups are going ballistic. WHY? because I know right then and there that my competition has just dropped by a percentage. There's another handful of people that will never make a dime on Amazon, or won't even attempt to because they think it's to hard etc...
⭐ WHAT'S WINNING RIGHT NOW & PROBABLY FOREVER: Coupons are slowly dieing. Deeply discounted sales from coupons are not ranking products a fraction as well as they used to. FULL PRICE sales are, and probably will always be the most effective, efficient way to rank an Amazon product. The best way to pull this off is to utilize rebates as well as the frequently bought together section of your competitors listings.
⭐ PEOPLE MAKE RANKING COMPLICATED: Ranking on Amazon is not complicated, contrary to popular belief. Selling units on a daily basis, at a comparable rate to the other products in your niche WILL get you ranked over time. There's just no way around that. Sales velocity and conversion rate still reign supreme on Amazon for ranking. There are 1000 ways to spike sales velocity and conversion rate, hence "there are multiple ways to skin a cat."
