DRIVING TO THE HIGHLANDS — Scotland Road Trip Vlog 1/2

Escaping the urban life to Scotland for the first time on a 2-day road trip! A return to the old style travel vlogs around Loch Lomond + Fort William Discount on my Lightroom presets: http://allam.co/presets-discount Check out the blog https://jellyjourneys.com -- QUESTIONS? — Check my FAQs first: http://joeallam.co.uk/faq @joeallam Follow me on Instagram – https://instagram.com/joeallam Follow me on Twitter – https://twitter.com/joeallam Other social media – https://joeallam.co.uk/social Subscribe to my other channel — http://youtube.com/jellyjourneys -- With a seriously large amount of travel coming up to some dense urban metropolises such as LA, New York, Toronto and Tokyo; we realised our window of opportunity to visit Scotland was very slim before the days get colder and darker. Embarrassingly, neither Elly or I had ever been to Scotland. Yet we've been all the way around the other side of the world to the far reaches of New Zealand... We wanted to change that and make the quick hop up from London to experience some of the best nature the UK has to offer. Our 2-day road trip consisted of a loop from Edinburgh into the Highlands via Loch Lomond, to Loch Ness, Glenfinnan and the Isle of Skye, before journeying back towards Edinburgh. I wanted to make a travel vlog similar to how this channel used to look a couple of years ago, featuring more about the journey and our overall experience rather than a segment of a particular photography day. I really enjoyed making it and look forward to part 2 coming in the next few days! P.S. A note on the drone footage quality: After reviewing the footage from this trip, I noticed a lot of the watercolour effect happening. I've since adjusted from -1 sharpening to +1 sharpening on my Mavic Pro in an attempt to disable to noise reduction algorithm causing the bad quality picture. Hopefully it's all good for the next time I use my drone! -- SOME INFORMATIVE VIDEOS My vlog setup – https://youtu.be/fUXQkp9MD2g Improve your photography mindset – https://youtu.be/muhEFDIsVmg How I edit my photos – https://youtu.be/u65vRApDmbs Instagram tips to improve your photography – https://youtu.be/ZsoXwoibWRE -- CAMERA EQUIPMENT (links will open in a new tab to Amazon and other destinations) VIEW ALL MY GEAR http://allam.co/gear FREQUENTLY ASKED ABOUT GEAR https://www.amazon.com/shop/allamjoe FOLLOW ME ON KIT http://kit.com/joeallam * VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE http://allam.co/ppcc * VLOG CAMERA Amazon – http://allam.co/gh5 * VLOGGING LENS Amazon – http://allam.co/leica12-60 * VLOG MICROPHONE Amazon — http://allam.co/vmp-plus * LAV MIC Amazon — http://allam.co/avx-mke2 * PHOTOGRAPHY CAMERA Amazon — http://allam.co/x-h1 * LENSES Amazon — http://allam.co/23mmf2 Amazon — http://allam.co/35mmf2 Amazon — http://allam.co/50-140mm * STREET PHOTOGRAPHY CAMERA Amazon – http://allam.co/x100f * SQUARE LENS HOOD Amazon – http://allam.co/jjc-hood CAMERA STRAPS http://allam.co/dsptch * = Any links marked with an asterisk are uniquely affiliated with me and I may receive a small commission for any purchases made, at no extra cost to you. -- MUSIC * Augment — Licensed from http://allam.co/meta-music If you're a music producer, please get in touch—I'm on a major lookout for new artists! -- WANT TO WORK WITH ME? — [email protected] #Photography #Travel #TravelPhotography

16 Places To See In The South of England || Road Trip DIaries!

There’s no better way to explore the UK than on a road trip! :-) We recently teamed up with IHG Rewards Club to check out their #WhyOverpay promise which ensures you get the cheapest rooms for IHG hotels (e.g. Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza...etc) by booking directly with them rather than on a price comparison site. We stopped off in so many beautiful locations across the South of England on a trip we've wanted to do for quite some time! You can see the full details to help you plan your own road trip over on our blog here - http://handluggageonly.co.uk/2016/07/04/complete-guide-planning-great-british-road-trip/ It started off raining in London but cleared off as soon as we left and was brilliantly sunny all throughout (until when we arrived back in Central London). This was done over 4 days but has made us want to do this again and explore even more of the UK over even more days! Visiting Scotland - Thinking about Holidays in Scotland or Planning a Trip?

02:33
Visiting Scotland - Thinking about Holidays in Scotland or Planning a Trip? Here’s one area that seems to be Scotland’s little secret… http://www.visitdornoch.com We wanted to start off by exposing an area of Scotland that seems to have been kept hidden from so many people for so long…it’s like Scotland’s own little secret. You will probably be familiar with the rugged beauty of the West Coast of Scotland, the Highlands and Islands or popular tourist destinations like Perthshire but what about Dornoch in Sutherland? Dornoch is in the Highlands of Scotland just North of Inverness. It’s ideal for a short break or weekend breaks in Scotland. Flights to Inverness are easy enough and you can strike out north from there. Maybe you are considering doing the North Coast 500 route….an incredibly scenic road trip around the top of Scotland.[http://www.northcoast500.com/home.aspx] If you’re a golfer…then you absolutely must play Royal Dornoch Golf course. It is one of the finest links courses in the world and Scotland’s best. Sound outlandish, then check it out. Playing golf in Scotland is always a joy and challenge…there’s certainly plenty of courses to choose from…just watch those bunkers, the gorse and if on the coast, the sea breeze! Check out Royal Dornoch Golf course via this link: http://www.visitdornoch.com/do_categories/golf/ In Dornoch, there’s plenty of things to do and places to visit, just like other areas of Scotland. It makes an ideal base to strike out from. To travel to Scotland is to experience hospitality on a different level, whether you’re looking for fine hotels, luxury lodges, self-catering, bed and breakfasts, caravan parks to campsites, you’ll find it all in Scotland. Caravan holidays in Scotland can be a joy as so many are right next to some incredible beaches and the campsites in Scotland in spectacular locations. Here are some links you may find useful: http://www.visitdornoch.com/stay-a-while/ http://www.visitdornoch.com/stay_categories/camping-caravanning/ http://www.visitdornoch.com/enjoy_categories/in-town/ In Dornoch you are right next to some of the most amazing beaches with Dornoch beach and Embo beach. However you choose to spend your Scottish holiday, you’ll find plenty to do. In Dornoch there’s some great sightseeing, as well as shopping and a great choice of restaurants, bistros, pubs and takeaways. http://www.visitdornoch.com/eat-and-drink/ But really you want to get outdoors and enjoy the beaches, walking, golf, fishing, shooting, cycling and many more outdoor activities. If you want something a little less energetic, then a visit to the stunning Dunrobin Castle and its beautiful gardens is a must. To get in to Skibo Castle is a little more difficult but if you bend the right ears, you might be able to get a round of golf in! http://www.visitdornoch.com/do/ http://www.visitdornoch.com/do-more/ http://www.visitdornoch.com/do-more/dunrobin-castle-garden-tours/ Also, make sure you don’t miss a tour of the local whisky distilleries and have a dram or check out some of the local museums. You might even still be able to win a bottle of very exclusive whisky only available direct from the distillery…. http://www.visitdornoch.com/competition/ Visiting Scotland is always a joy for so many people but those that discover Dornoch seem to keep on coming back….I wonder why? Now, what to see in Scotland next? England, Edinburgh and Ireland tour summary

13:51
We're taking you on a tour of England, Scotland and Ireland, a short summary of the trip you would enjoy. Click on the times to jump to each place: Intro 00:01 London 1:43 - Bath 2:44 - Cotswolds 3:37 - York 4:21 - Lake District 5:35 - Edinburgh 6:42 - Ireland intro 8:27 - summary 9:42 -to Dingle 10:08 - Dingle-Killarney 11:01 -Kinsale 12:00 - Dublin 12:12 Starting in London, best of all, then to Bath on a very easy train ride. Bath has a human scale with quiet pedestrian lanes lined with shops and galleries ideal for strolling. York is one of the most historic cities in England. We will be showing you the great old buildings, some street entertainment – presenting you a summary with more details in other programs in our series. Lake District is a very popular holiday destination, famous for, forests, mountains, quaint villages and lakes designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2017. Four of the top activities are exploring the towns, taking boat rides, do a little nature walking, and take a driving tour of the region to see the other nearby lakes and quaint villages. In Scotland, Edinburgh’s Old Town has retained many of its original buildings and the 18th century New Town is also well-preserved, both still functioning as a great examples of healthy urban neighborhoods. Ireland is a small country blessed with the rich variety of wonderful sites, most famous for its green rolling hills, history, friendly people, and Guinness. Our three main destinations will be Dingle, Galway and of course Dublin, capital of the country, a great center of culture, learning and nightlife. We'll bring you inside prehistoric stone structures in Dingle. We'll take a trip out to the Aran Islands by ferry, a remote place with a great many archaeological sites, traditional culture and spectacular sea cliffs. We will be visiting small villages along the way: Clifden, Killarney then Kinsale, a southern town with colorful buildings and an ancient stone fort. Dublin is a wonderful city, but don't make the mistake when you're visiting Ireland of only going to Dublin – there's so much more to see. http://tourvideos.com/ Our Ireland tour details were arranged by https://www.myirelandtour.com

Scotland's "Central Belt" — stretching between the Lowlands and the Highlands — is home to many of its most interesting sights, all within day-tripping distance of either Edinburgh or Glasgow. In this travel talk, Rick Steves' Europe travel expert Julia Reams-Giersch describes the historic castle at Stirling, the charming village of Culross, the birthplace of golf (and the Church of Scotland) at St. Andrews, the rejuvenated industrial burg of Dundee (with the HMS Discovery), and the fascinating Crannog Centre, for a peek at Stone Age Scotland. Sorry some of the photos are orientated wrong - this was mostly due to my problems with movie maker - but at least everything else is fine!

Things to do in Scotland Travel Guide, Top Attractions & Scottish Cuisine

34:31
Scotland, is a country I've wanted to visit for years, and I finally was able to turn that into reality last year when I visited for the first time to take in the New Year's celebrations of Hogmanay in Edinburgh. As one of the most negotiable cities on foot that I've ever visited, Audrey and pounded the pavement marveling at the architecture, impressive castles and winter carnival events in the downtown area. When we need to warm up we popped into pubs to gormandize on Haggis, Neeps and Tatties while washing it down with a Hot Toddy. Although disgustingly unhealthy (essentially this a chocolate bar covered in batter and deep-fried) it tasted delicious and it ten times better than having a chocolate bar on its own. When we weren't trying Scottish Cuisine or wandering aimlessly down narrow streets, we decided to take a few day trips to check out other events and attractions. Our favorite being Loony Dook where a group of mad men, women and children wearing Halloween type costumes ran full steam ahead into the freezing cold Firth of Forth. The true highlight of our time in Scotland was having the opportunity to explore the Scottish Highlands (including the Isle of Skye) with Haggis Adventure Tours. This road trip allowed highlighted some of the most scenic areas of the entire country where we couldn't put down our cameras. When we weren't traveling we spent our time sampling as much Scottish food as we possibly could including a taste test of Irn Bru, Ginger Beer, Tablet, Haggis flavored chips, Scottish chocolate and Scottish Whiskey and more. The following is a top attractions travel guide offering a snapshot of the best things to do in Scotland during your next vacation to one of my favorite countries in all of Europe. We went on a road trip to Edinburgh, Scotland!

06:06
The next stop in our MNR Road Trip For Change: Edinburgh, Scotland! We have so much content prepared for you guys and are so excited to share our Europe Tour of England, Scotland and France with you guys. We left off with London, England and went to Scotland for two days before going to England again to explore some other cities. Scotland included the amazing Edinburgh, along with the highlands which we can't wait to share with you all as well! Edinburgh was very different from London. It has a unique architectural style with a darker outlook because of the different materials they used for their buildings, but it is beautiful none-the-less. We saw key attractions like the Scott's Monument, Edinburgh Castle, the National Gallery of Scotland and more on our hop-on, hop-off tour bus. Since we only had one full day in Edinburgh we had to make the most of it, and this vlog will show you how to make the most of your time in Edinburgh, as well! We share travel tips while show you the true culture of Edinburgh from the kilt-clad people to the delicious Handmade Scottish Shortbread. Whether you have already planned your trip to Scotland or are planning to go one day, this video will provide some insight as to what Scotland and Edinburgh especially have to offer. It's a great city to visit and we definitely recommend visiting it, along with London and Oxford which were two of the other stops in our Road Trip for Change. As part of this cultural diversity series, we have already reached our third stop and the vast variety of cultures even within the United Kingdom is so inspiring. Our Europe tour is just the beginning and we can't wait to share our complete tour of England, Scotland and France with you guys in the upcoming weeks. If you like this video, please show your support by liking it and subscribing to our channel.

20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland Travel Guide

12:48
Join us for this travel guide to Glasgow, Scotland as we highlight 20 of the best things to do in Glasgow including visiting distilleries, trendy restaurants, hopping pubs, fascinating museums and more attractions. This is our second time visiting Glasgow, UK and our city guide is a combination of footage from our visit this year and last year. Glasgow has a thriving food scene (both Scottish food and International) and we give you a thorough food tour as we bite our way around the city. In terms of major attractions Glasgow (Glaschu) doesn't have many iconic places to visit as nearby Edinburgh; however, I feel one of the advantages it has over Edinburgh is that the city is more spread out and each neighborhood has a distinct character. One of our favorite places to visit was the University of Glasgow which has a campus that would make Harry Potter proud. Whether we were visiting breweries or distilleries or having seafood for lunch or dinner we found no shortage of things to do in Glasgow, Scotland. Now let's explore Glasgow (Glesga) together! 20 Things to do in Glasgow City Tour | Scotland Travel Guide: Intro to Glasgow, Scotland - 00:01 1) Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - 00:29 2) University of Glasgow campus tour - 01:34 3) Drygate Craft Beer Brewery 'through the glass tour' - 02:11 4) Drygate Bar & Kitchen for Scottish pub food for lunch - 03:00 5) Barras Art and Design for Scottish seafood lunch at A’Chailltain - 03:50 6) Tour the Glasgow Distillery Co for Makar Gin on the southside - 05:06 7) Drinks at The Drugstore Social bar on Finnieston, Glasgow - 05:56 8) Gin, martinis and oysters at The Finnieston - 07:11 9) Aged steak at Porter & Rye restaurant in Glasgow - 07:43 10) Cafe Gandolfi for breakfast in Glasgow, Scotland - 08:53 11) Glasgow Botanic Gardens - 09:07 12) Buchanan Street for shopping in Glasgow - 09:27 13) The Willow Tea Rooms for afternoon tea in Glasgow - 09:39 14) Visiting Hairy Coos in the Southside - 09:47 15) House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park - 10:15 16) Glasgow Cathedral (High Kirk of Glasgow) - 10:22 17) Necropolis Victorian Cemetery - 10:26 18) Glasgow Green for recreation and leisure - 10:36 19) People's Palace and Winter Gardens - 10:41 20) The Crafty Pig restaurant in Glasgow for pulled pork sandwiches and milkshakes - 10:45 Outro to Glasgow, Scotland - 11:48 GEAR WE USE Olympus OM-D E-M5 II: http://amzn.to/1OchS7t Canon G7X: http://amzn.to/1YdjsYX Olympus 14-150mm II Lens: http://amzn.to/1Y79zeM Rode Video Mic GO: http://amzn.to/1WDKtVM Joby Gorilla Pod: http://amzn.to/1PgoY5F SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro: http://amzn.to/25KEErs SOCIAL MEDIA & TRAVEL BLOGS AUDREY: blog: http://thatbackpacker.com/ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatbackpacker/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thatbackpacker twitter: https://twitter.com/ThatBackpacker SAMUEL: blog: http://nomadicsamuel.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nomadicsamuel twitter: https://twitter.com/NomadicSamuel instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nomadicsamuel/ Our visit Glasgow travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (Scottish and International), top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting distilleries, breweries, churches and museums and Glasgow by night for pubs and entertainment. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Glasgow tourism brochure, Glasgow itinerary or Glasgow, Scotland city tour. 20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland travel guide video transcript: In today’s video we’re going to be showing you around Glasgow, Scotland. This is a city that we visited last autumn and then again this summer, and on both visits, we ate like kings and queens because it turns out, Glasgow is a great destination for foodies. Since we never got around to making a travel guide on our first visit, today we’re going to be combining the footage from both of those trips to show you some of the best things to do in Glasgow and also some of the best places to eat and drink it. So let’s get started! And that’s a wrap for our visit to Glasgow, Scotland. We loved our two visits and we’d gladly return for a 3rd. This is an amazing city for foodies and there are so many great bars, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries to visit. Also FYI - if you’re already visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow is just a short 50-minute train ride away, and it’s a city with its own unique vibe. If there are any other fun things to do in Glasgow that you’d like to share with travellers, feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments below. Wishing you happy travels! Blown Away, By the North Coast 500 route, Scotland

03:49
The route that circles around Scotland’s top north highlands has always been there, but never got a name, until not so long ago. Now, known as the North Coast Route 500, this natural itinerary moved in the limelight, and was nicknamed Scotland’s Route 66. This may sound daunting, but we have just been on a trip that strikes the perfect balance between planning and spontaneity, and is not to mention one of the most beautiful places we have ever encountered. If you want to take it easy and spend time at every attraction, you’ll need 7 days and a cheap car rental, and that’s all it will take to experience a whole new world  Some great spot you’ll find along the road: Day 1 Some spectacular sights, starting in the northernmost city in the UK, called Inverness. Bordered by rolling hills and castle ruins at Loch Ness, it’s as beautiful as it is mysterious. Stop at the Dunrobin Castle is just as beautiful. Everything about it, the gardens, spires and turrets makes it look like a castle that comes straight out of a fairy-tale, while Disney looks dismal in comparison. Just a short drive away is the Carn Liath, a prehistoric structure that takes you back to the iron age when it was originally built. Only 19 metres in diameter, it’s easy to get a real sense of the place and admire it in its entirety. DAY 2: Brora to Thurso Wake up early and do a little bit of exploring in Brora, known for its golden sandy beaches and array of sea life. Dolphins, Minke whales and seals are regular visitors. Grey Cairns of Camster. These rare Neolithic stone tombs are definitely worth a visit. They hold immense historical value that were built over 5000 years ago, unveiling many secrets of that time. Characterized by immense cliff stacks, this impressive path leads to the remote Duncansby Head lighthouse. Perched on the corner of a sheer drop. Port Lybster is a fun stop over for who lover lighthouses. DAY 3: Thurso to Durness Scotland is scattered with hundreds of these historical ruins, of both enchanting castles and landhouses. Another one to look out for is Castle Varig, which is well worth a short hike up a neighbouring hill that offers the best viewpoint of the castle, and a nearby loch.  Secondly, an assortment of wildlife tours that take you to the perfect vantage points, where you can view the stunning local Puffins up close. Durness: the best artisan chocolate in all of Scotland, at the Cocoa Mountain Café and Chocolatier, and when paired with one of their famous coffee blends, you may just want to stay here all day. Smoo cave is truly exceptional, making it onto our list of top 5 experiences along the NC 500. It’s unique in that it’s formed by two caves, one fresh-water cave and one sea-water cave, linking together as one. The entrance has been formed by the action of the sea, whereas the inner chambers are freshwater passages, and if you dare enter the cave, you’ll be rewarded with the sight of a spectacular waterfall. DAY 4: Durness to Ullapool Achmelvich beach is by far the best place to chill, with its soft white sand and pristine clear blue waters that could easily match those of the Maldives (except for the temperature). DAY 5: Ullapool to Torridon Ullapool is a popular holiday destination for the Scots, and although it’s relatively big and touristy, it has its own unique charm that’s worth experiencing. When the crowds get too much, jump back into nature to see one of the natural wonders of the Highlands - Corrieshalloch Gorge. DAY 6: Torridon to Strathpeffer Torridon boasts some of the most picturesque landscapes we’ve had the pleasure of seeing with our own eyes, and the perfect finale to a memorable trip. Wake up early and let the sunlight reveal it to you. Once you’ve had a chance to take it all in, head over to a peninsula called Applecross, made up of small-scale food producers. It’s relatively unknown to tourists and is home to a number of gems if you take the time to explore the community. Then to end the roadtrip off on a high, take a turn onto the Bealach na Ba road, meaning “The Pass of the Cattle”. This is by far one of the most impressive roads in the UK, with remarkable views of , the whole of Skye, and the Islands of Rum and the Outer Hebrides while the road wind towards Strathpeffer.     DAY 7: Strathpeffer to Inverness Waking up in Strathpeffer, knowing it’s your final day, can’t help but make one feel slightly heart sore. However, there’s nothing quite like a spa day to make you feel better, and it just so happens that that town is known for its Spas. by: Roxanne Boyes Film and edit: Caspar Daniël Diederik Protagonist: Enza di Lecce http://storytravelers.com Powered by VisitBritain & VisitScotland Sponsored by the Social Travel Summit and ambassador initiative Find more at: https://www.visitbritain.com/gb/en/ultimate-scotland-road-trip#EvJ5MqXM5gbZ1lJP.97 https://www.visitscotland.com/see-do/tours/driving-road-trips/north-coast-500/

From there, Julia offers tips for exploring Cairngorms National Park, catching a trained sheepdog show or a Highland Games (with burly "feats of strength" and delicate dancing) , visiting the prehistoric Clava Cairns that inspired Outlander, touring the historic Culloden Battlefield (where the Jacobite rising and the Highland way of life met a bloody end), looking for sea monsters (and ruined castles) at Loch Ness, and hiking the "Weeping Glen" of Glencoe. #NC500 Scotland #Vanlife - North Coast 500 - The Road Is Our Home

27:42
The Road Is Our Home: NC500 - In our cosy van conversion we headed to northern Scotland and went on a winter road trip around the legendary North Coast 500 (aka NC500). However, our timing wasn't that great, as it was winter and storm Eric was heading in our direction with no sign of letting up. We spent nine days driving our van conversion around the some of the most incredible roads we've ever seen. Starting at Inverness and making our way, anti-clockwise, around the absolutely stunning scenery that northern Scotland has to offer. Want to see more of our van, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mnkMs-ujv0 For more pictures, information and how-to guides on this van conversion visit: http://www.theroadisourhome.com https://www.facebook.com/TheRoadIsOurHomeOfficial https://twitter.com/theroadourhome https://www.instagram.com/theroadisourhome https://www.pinterest.co.uk/theroadisourhome Track Listing: 1. 0:00 - 6:30 'First Light Final' by The Mountain Howl. Adventurin' Across the UK in 10 Days — UK by Rail | The Travel Intern

06:51
We had SUCH A BLAST exploring the UK — we visited Edinburgh in Scotland, explored the areas Bangor, Caernarfon, Snowdonia National Park in Wales, and the beautiful city of London with day trips out. The BritRail pass was actually a real blessing. We only wished we had more time to spend in this beautiful land. Check out our recommended 10D itinerary here: https://thetravelintern.com/scotland-wales-london-itinerary-britrail-pass/ Hear our honest reflections about our UK trip towards the end of the video! LONDON 00:22 - Trafalgar Square 00:24 - London Eye As with every trip to London, it wouldn’t be complete without visiting Trafalgar Square and seeing beautiful landmarks like the London Eye, Big Ben (it was under construction when we were there!), Tower Bridge, etc. 00:25 - St Paul’s Cathedral We highly highly highly recommend getting to the top of the dome (via stairs within the cathedral, of course). It gives you BEAUTIFUL views of the city and it’s pretty cool up there, literally and figuratively :-) 00:28 - Tower Bridge No, this is not the London Bridge that we sang nursery rhymes about in school. Haha. Check the timings to see when the bridge will be lifted to allow certain vessels to pass! 00:35 - Warner Bros. Studio Tour London ‘Nuff said. Potterheads and non-potterheads alike, please please please go for this. We can’t stress this enough. 00:50 - F Cooke Try one of London’s oldest living fast foods here! Warning: Jellied eels might not appeal to everyone’s tastebuds, but Sherry did enjoy it. Can’t say the same for Travis though. Tip: The chilli/spicy sauce they provide is pretty amaze~ 00:57 - Patty&Bun Worth getting your hands covered with sauce. Trust. Probably one of the best burgers we’ve had! 01:02 - Borough Market Hash, Soulfood, Monmouth Coffee The food haven, really. We picked out Hash, Soulfood and Monmouth Coffee because these really really stood out to us. Super duper yummy!! 01:16 - Camden Market Vintage lovers would LOVE this place. Especially over the weekend! We weren’t really vintage lovers, but we also enjoyed exploring this market. The food was also amazing. Tip: The grilled cheese sandwich is the BOMB!!!!!! There was only one store serving grilled cheese, and the smell is really strong, so…. It should be easy to spot. DAY TRIP OUT OF LONDON 01:25 - Windsor Castle We were there when the royal baby was born! It was especially cool because the vibes were amazing, and people were in such high spirits! Nevertheless, the Windsor Castle is the world’s biggest and oldest occupied castle. Maybe you could catch a peek of the Queen when you visit! 01:33 - Roman Baths Visit the ancient Roman baths in… well, Bath. The place is one of the world’s best-preserved religious spas. Get to try a sip of spring water from the springs there too! Again, warning: Might not appeal to everyone’s tastebuds. Interesting though! 01:42 - Stonehenge How could we not visit the Stonehenge when we’re in UK?? Quite a magical and mystical experience, we have to say. WALES 01:55 - Snowdonia National Park We took the Snowdon mountain railway up! In the winter, it doesn’t go to the peak (Llanberis) though. The peak is actually the highest point in Wales! We really enjoyed the hike down too. 02:18 - Ainsworth’s Super yummy fish&chips are served here. Be sure to try their specialty, mushy peas too! Great meal :-) 02:26 - Caernarfon Castle Explore the castle and outside of it too! In the evenings, the streets outside the castle have lots of people chilling and having drinks by the river. EDINBURGH 02:39 - Arthur’s Seat Hike up to the highest point in Edinburgh! It gets SUPER windy up there, to the point that both of us couldn’t stand straight without holding onto a rock or each other for support. Be dressed appropriately! 02:50 - Edinburgh Castle Visit some of Scotland’s oldest buildings that are still in this castle! 03:01 - Papii Cafe Strawberry? Yup. Bacon? Yup. Strawberry and bacon??? WOT?? We had this reaction too. But this place was highly recommended by a friend, and so we decided to give it a try. Omg, the two complemented each other so well atop fluffy, yummy buttermilk waffles! It gets pretty crowded during breakfast, so do come early or try to avoid peak hours. 03:05 - Oink We chanced upon this little eatery while exploring the streets of Edinburgh. They serve pulled pork roast rolls and the portions are SO generous! We were so stuffed! 03:11 - Calton Hill We recommend catching the sunset here for gorgeous views of the city! ---------------------------------------------- Edited by: Sherry Wong - http://instagram.com/sherrified Follow our travel guides around the world on: ► https://thetravelintern.com/ Follow us on our travel adventures on social media: ► @TheTravelIntern http://facebook.com/thetravelintern http://instagram.com/thetravelintern Learn about The Travel Intern Programme: ► https://thetravelintern.com/about-tra... How to plan a motorcycle trip? 10 Practical Tips!

11:24
10 Tips to plan long motorcycle trip. (Must Watch) 1. Free time. It is obvious that without free time you cannot go anywhere, why I even say that? Because guys the free time you have will tell you where you can go. For example, if you live in West Europe and have only two weeks holiday it will be impossible to ride to Mongolia and back. You can, but you have to ship the bike. If you plan to ride it – no! It will be about 15,000km al together. When you divide it to 14 days it’s more than a 1,000 per day. 2. The right destination. Where you really want to go? What is the part of the world you want to see? Do not imitate, you are unique person, make your unique trip. Good for one it doesn’t mean that it will be good for you as well! Everybody is different! 3. Do not book in advance. Well again, it’s really depends from the trip. For example in some destinations like Genua or some other busy sea ports in Europe you really need to book your ferry in advance, but in most of the cases it is not going to be necessary and could be useless, because with motorcycle you never know when and where you will finish the day. 4. Paper map – make the route on the map. Again about the paper map – I really love them, don’t you think? When I plan my trips I always make the route on the map. There are 3 very good reasons to do it: - First is to see where I have to ride and to try to remember it in the case I lose it. - The second is to be able to calculate the km and hours per day. - Third is to see what is around and what else I can visit until I am there. All of this information will help you to make some changes and plan your route more efficient. 5. Money. It is really depends from your personal preferences. You can make it very cheap or travel like Arabian sheikh. 6. Plan days off. This is so important! Plan at least one day off per week, otherwise you will be so exhausted and you cannot really enjoy the trip. In some nice and interesting cities one day is not going to be enough. For example in Samarkand, Uzbekistan was so interesting, there were so many things to see that we stayed two days. Do not forget to include that in your overall mileage calculation. 7. Pack the right gear. Again make the research before the trip. Do not take the things you might or never use. For example you are not going to need your warm under layers or many clothes in Africa, because it will be hot, but definitely will when you ride into the north. Rain gear is not necessary in the desert, but it is very important in Ireland for example. The same with everything, jacket, pants, tent and many more. All of this will help you to reduce the weight and as you already know the weight is always matter. 8. Chose a proper bike. For long highway trips a big, powerful and heavy bike is going to be great, but on bad or dirt roads it will be a big challenge. We all know that, but when the trip is mixed, highways and dirt roads, what to do? I will suggest or at least this is what I will do is to prepare the bike for the hardest part of the trip. For example if you have 10,000km trip, but only 1,000km are dirt roads, choose and prepare the bike and the luggage for this 1,000km. It will be ok to ride 9,000km with light bike, but it could be very hard to have 1,000 dirt roads with heavy bike 9. Back up options. Always be ready with some back up options. Even if you never need it, it will give you some piece of mind and help you to feel much better. This is how our brains work- no exceptions! 10. Sort you things at home. Family, relations, kids, friends, job. Dot it before you go. Do not even think that you can handle it from a distance! It will be very difficult and almost impossible and definitely will ruin your trip. Many of you asked me: what gear I use and where they can find it? I have created this Amazon shop to make it easy for you. Note: The links I am going to provide are Affiliate. An affiliate link means, that I will earn a small commission, if you decide to buy something and it doesn’t cost you any extra.
