5.1-Changing border color and border style - html5 css3 tutorial

04:33
The CSS border properties allow you to specify the style, width, and color of an element's border. p.dotted {border-style: dotted;} p.dashed {border-style: dashed;} p.solid {border-style: solid;} p.double {border-style: double;} p.groove {border-style: groove;} p.ridge {border-style: ridge;} p.inset {border-style: inset;} p.outset {border-style: outset;} p.none {border-style: none;} p.hidden {border-style: hidden;} p.mix {border-style: dotted dashed solid double;} --------------------------------------------------------------------- Page Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Devewebsite/ المرجو الضغط على الزر لايك لليصلك كل جديد.

Html Css Tutorial - 8 | How to write Inline, Internal & External Css | Css Borders, Margins, Padding

14:10
#htmlcss #cssfonts #cssbordres #cssmargin #csspadding Hi viewers Today in This Tutorial we discuss on the topic is: Html Css: 1) What is Css? 2) How many types to include Css file in html file? 3) How to write different font sizes? 4) How to write borders using css? 5) How to write css padding? 6) How to write css margin ? 7) Id attribute & Class attribute? Styling HTML with CSS CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. CSS describes how HTML elements are to be displayed on screen, paper, or in other media. CSS saves a lot of work. It can control the layout of multiple web pages all at once. CSS can be added to HTML elements in 3 ways: Inline - by using the style attribute in HTML elements Internal - by using a style element in the head section External - by using an external CSS file The most common way to add CSS, is to keep the styles in separate CSS files. However, here we will use inline and internal styling, because this is easier to demonstrate, and easier for you to try it yourself. Inline CSS An inline CSS is used to apply a unique style to a single HTML element. An inline CSS uses the style attribute of an HTML element. Internal CSS An internal CSS is used to define a style for a single HTML page. An internal CSS is defined in the head section of an HTML page, within a style element: External CSS An external style sheet is used to define the style for many HTML pages. With an external style sheet, you can change the look of an entire web site, by changing one file! To use an external style sheet, add a link to it in the head section of the HTML page: Note: An external style sheet can be written in any text editor. The file must not contain any HTML code, and must be saved with a .css extension. CSS Fonts The CSS color property defines the text color to be used. The CSS font-family property defines the font to be used. The CSS font-size property defines the text size to be used. CSS Border The CSS border property defines a border around an HTML element: CSS Padding The CSS padding property defines a padding (space) between the text and the border: CSS Margin The CSS margin property defines a margin (space) outside the border: Follow - Shs Tech Solutions : https://www.youtube.com/shstechsolutions Follow On Social Media : Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/shstechsolut... outline (от англ. - контур, обводка ) свойство css. Универсальное свойство, одновременно устанавливающее цвет, стиль и толщину внешней границы на всех четырех сторонах элемента. ClickFunnels: How to Customize Borders Around Any Element (Using Custom CSS)

11:15
If you need help with a specific issue and want me to personally take a look at your setup, I can help! Check out the 'My Services' section of my blog: https://amarketingessentials.com/my-services/ What an element border looks like: 0:30 Why you need to adjust borders using custom CSS: 2:00 Adding borders in custom CSS: 2:27 Welcome back everyone! In this video, I wanted to show you how you could add borders to any element within ClickFunnels, not just the sections or rows, and then also customize them! Something different that you can use with your affiliate marketing campaigns. Reason why we are using CSS is because you are actually unable to input any borders around individual elements within the ClickFunnels basic menu, and even if you do, you have extremelyyyy limited customization options - only a few border styles, limited pixel width, but any color (at least you have that!). You can also only customize ALL 4 borders, NOT individual borders, which is a really cool customization feature in case you are interested! So, in order for us to insert the border in the first place, we need to first select the element we want a border around, copy the custom CSS element ID, and then paste it into our custom CSS window. We then do the regular CSS tradition, putting our braces right after the element ID, and at the end. In between, we have 4 options we can work on: - border style (such as dotted, dashed, solid, double, groove, ridge, inset, outset, hidden - I recommend you try them all out!!) - border width (the width of the actual border, ranging from 1px onwards) - border color (any color in the rbg spectrum) - border radius (if you want to round your corners, this is the way to do it) We would proceed by adding our values for each of those properties, in the form of 'border-style: solid;' for example if we want to create a solid border. The cool thing about this is that we can customize the way each border side looks by adding additional values right after each other after the properties. The borders go from (top, right, bottom, left), so if I want to create solid bottom and left borders, and dashed top and right, I would say 'border-style: dashed dashed solid solid;' The same concept applies to our other declarations, such as color, width, and radius (radius starting from top left and going clockwise until bottom left). And this is basically how we would adjust every part of our border to our desired level using custom CSS in ClickFunnels! You may have excess margins when creating this border however, since the element itself may be fairly large compared to the actual picture, so make sure to check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzwSpbytHqE&list=PLS46f4aLJ2hNASorSJ04itRrhsnZ00x5u&index=18 to see how you can adjust the margins! CSS Lesson 5 - CSS Borders, Margin and Padding

10:36
CSS Borders: CSS attribute, allow you to completely customize the borders that appear around HTML elements. With HTML, it used to be impossible to place a border around an element, except for the table. Border-style Border-width Border-color Border Styles: The border-style property specifies what kind of border to display. The following values are allowed: dotted  dashed  solid  double  groove  ridge inset  outset  none  hidden  Border-color: You customize the Border colors using css property called border-color. Margins: A margin defines the white space around an HTML element's border. CSS has properties for specifying the margin for each side of an element: margin-top margin-right margin-bottom margin-left All the margin properties can have the following values: auto - the browser calculates the margin length - specifies a margin in px, pt, cm, etc. inherit - specifies that the margin should be inherited from the parent element. CSS Padding:: A padding is the space between an element's border and the content within it. Padding - Individual Sides:- CSS has properties for specifying the padding for each side of an element: padding-top padding-right padding-bottom padding-left All the padding properties can have the following values: length - specifies a padding in px, pt, cm, etc. inherit - specifies that the padding should be inherited from the parent element CSS Height and Width: The Height and width properties are used to set the height and width of an element. Setting the width of a block-level element will prevent it from stretching out to the edges of its container.  max-width:-By using this Css property we can set max width of the element. ankpro ankpro training Asp.net MVC C# C sharp Bangalore Rajajinagar Selenium Coded UI Mobile automation testing Mobile testing JQuery JavaScript .Net

CSS Border-Width Property Explained In Detail

04:01
CSS Border-Width Property Explained In Detail https://youtu.be/tlqBm_3lSUc CSS border width allows you to determine the width of a CSS border. This is a pretty cool since adding borders of varying width can to elements can make your website more visually appealing. Another interesting feature in CSS is you can apply borders two all 4 sides of a contain independent of each other. For example, you could have an element that only has a border on the right. Or you could have a solid border on the bottom and dashed border on the left. Or a dotted border on the top that is 4 pixels wide, a solid border on the bottom that is 1 pixel wide and a beveled border on the right that is 10 pixels wide. All that to say, you have a lot flexibility with borders. A couple things are important to keep in mind. 1. Proper border order. 2. The different border styles you can apply to each side independently using the same order as in point 1. 3. The ability to add border color to each side independently using the same order as in point 1. That's all there is to it. I hope this video helps you! Visit: Facebook: https://fb.com/LearningClub.live website: https://learningclub.live Since you did such a good job, here's a bonus video. Each HTML element on a page has four different properties. Content, Padding, Border and Margin. These are known as the box model. A working knowledge of the box model is critical to becoming a CSS ninja. Let’s look at a diagram of the box model. In the middle is the content, then there is padding, then the border, and finally the margin. Let’s break these down. First, the content layer. That’s the good stuff, like if you just saw me naked, that’s the content. In paragraphs or headings this is the text, for images it’s the picture. The size of the content depends on the type of the object, but it can be altered with the CSS properties: width and height. Padding provides separation between the Content and the Border. So my boobs look pretty big, but that might some padding in my bra, it’s not, just saying. Padding is a CSS property. It’s thickness can be controlled individually, on the top, right, bottom, and left with specific properties. I prefer to be on top. They can also be defined all-at-once with four different values, like 10 pixels, 20 pixels, 15 pixels, 25 pixels. Or, two properties which affect the top and bottom, and, left and right, like padding 10 pixels, 15 pixels. If you specify a background color for a piece of content it will extend to the border of the padding. Next is the border. This provides a visual container around the element. It lives between the margin and the padding. You can specify the border color, width, and style: dotted, solid, or double solid. As with padding, you can specify the top, right, bottom, or left individually, or list 2, 3, or 4 values in the same border property. To specify a solid, one-pixel, black, border for all sides use: border—one-pixel—solid—black. The last is margin. That’s my personal space. The margin provides separation between elements. It is transparent, so it will be the color of its parent element. It can be sized like padding, one rule for all sides, or you can specify the width on a per-side basis. When you set the width and height properties of an element with CSS, you’re setting the width and height of the content area. When you specify Padding on an element, it will increase the size of the element. We have a div. It has a width and height of 10 pixels, and then add padding of 5 pixels to all four sides, the size of the element will be 20 pixels by 20 pixels. I’ll wait while you do the math.... Did you get it?... Good boy. If you add a one-pixel border to the element, the size will be 22 pixels. And so on for the margin.

Difference between window height and document height 2. How to detect if the user has scrolled to the bottom of the page $(window).height() - Returns height of the browser window i.e browser viewport $(document).height() - Returns height of HTML document $(window).scrollTop() - Returns the current vertical position of the scroll bar What is the difference between window height and document height The window height is what you see (i.e browser viewport), but the document height includes everything below or above the visible area. How to detect if the user has scrolled to the bottom of the page Here is the formula to detect if the user has scrolled to the bottom of the page if (verticalScrollBarPosition == $(document).height() - $(window).height()) { floatingDiv.html('Reached the bottom of the page'); } Why window height and document height are the same in Google chrome Without DOCTYPE tag Chrome reports the same value for both window height and document height. Include the following DOCTYPE declaration <!DOCTYPE html> Example used in the demo <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { var floatingDiv = $("#divfloating"); var floatingDivPosition = floatingDiv.position(); $(window).scroll(function () { var scrollPosition = $(window).scrollTop(); if (scrollPosition >= floatingDivPosition.top) { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'fixed', 'top': 3 }); } else { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'relative', 'top': 0 }); } floatingDiv.html('Window Height = ' + $(window).height() + '<br/>' + 'Document Height = ' + $(document).height() + '<br/>' + 'Vertical Scrollbar Position = ' + scrollPosition ); if (scrollPosition == $(document).height() - $(window).height()) { floatingDiv.html('Reached the bottom of the page'); } }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial;"> <table align="center" border="1" style="border-collapse:collapse"> <tr> <td style="width:500px"> <div> Main Page Content </div> </td> <td style="width:150px; vertical-align:top"> Side panel content <br /><br /> <div id="divfloating" style="background-color:silver; width:150px; height:150px"> Floating Div - Keeps floating as you scroll down the page </div> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> In our next video we will discuss how to load data like facebook as you scroll down the page.

jquery animation queue

Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/05/jquery-animation-queue.html In this video we will discuss how jQuery animation queues work. When several calls to animate() method are chained together. By default these calls are placed into a queue to be executed one after the other in series rather than executing all of them simultaneously in parallel. The name of this queue is fx. Each HTML element has its own queue. With the following code there will be 5 calls to animate method placed in the queue of each div element. This means both div elements (myDiv1 & myDiv2) may start to execute the first call to animate method more or less at the same time. However, from the given queue the queued methods are executed one after the other in series. $('#myButton').click(function () { $('#myDiv1') .animate({ 'width': 500 }, 1500) .animate({ 'padding': 20 }, 1500) .animate({ 'font-size': 50 }, 1500) .animate({ 'border-width': 10 }, 1500) .animate({ 'opacity': 1 }, 1500); $('#myDiv2') .animate({ 'width': 500 }, 1500) .animate({ 'padding': 20 }, 1500) .animate({ 'font-size': 50 }, 1500) .animate({ 'border-width': 10 }, 1500) .animate({ 'opacity': 1 }, 1500); }); The following code finds the total number of method calls waiting in the queue. While the first call to animate method is being executed, the other calls are added to the queue and waiting to be executed one after the other in sequence. $('#myDiv1') .animate({ 'width': 500 }, 1500) .queue(function () { console.log('Queued calls = ' + $(this).queue('fx').length); $(this).dequeue(); }) .animate({ 'padding': 20 }, 1500) .animate({ 'font-size': 50 }, 1500) .animate({ 'border-width': 10 }, 1500) .animate({ 'opacity': 1 }, 1500) .queue(function () { console.log('Queued calls = ' + $(this).queue('fx').length); $(this).dequeue(); }); To globally disable all animations $.fx.off = true or jQuery.fx.off = true If you want the calls to animate() to be executed simultaneously in parallel, then set queue option to false. Modify the jQuery code as shown below. $('#myDiv1') .animate({ 'width': 500 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'padding': 20 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'font-size': 50 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'border-width': 10 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'opacity': 1 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }); $('#myDiv2') .animate({ 'width': 500 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'padding': 20 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'font-size': 50 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'border-width': 10 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }) .animate({ 'opacity': 1 }, { duration: 1500, queue: false }); There are 2 variations of animate method. We discussed Variation 1 in Part 46 of jQuery tutorial. In the code snippet above we are using Variation 2. Variation 1 .animate( properties [, duration ] [, easing ] [, complete ] ) Variation 2 .animate( properties, options ) For the list of all additional options that you can pass to animate method please check http://api.jquery.com/animate An easier way to animate multiple css properties simultaneously in parallel, is to include all those css properties in a single JSON object. $('#myDiv1') .animate({ 'width': 500, 'padding': 20, 'font-size': 50, 'border-width': 10, 'opacity': 1 }, 1500); $('#myDiv2') .animate({ 'width': 500, 'padding': 20, 'font-size': 50, 'border-width': 10, 'opacity': 1 }, 1500);

jquery floating div

13:36
Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/05/jquery-floating-div.html In this video we will discuss, how to create floating div using jQuery. We want the div element in the sidebar to be floating and always visible as we scroll down the page. Example : In this example we are using position() and scrollTop() functions. The object returned by position() function has top and left properties, which can be used to know the current top and left positions (coordinates). We are using this function to find the top position of the div element that we want to keep floating as we scroll down. To get the current vertical position of the scroll bar, we are using scrollTop() function. As we scroll and when the current vertical position of the scroll bar becomes GREATER THAN the top position of the div element, then we want the div element to start floating. To do this set position style to fixed. A fixed position element is positioned relative to the browser window. So as you scroll down it will be floating in the browser window. If the current vertical position of the scroll bar becomes LESS THAN the top position of the div element, then we don't want the div element to float, so we set position style to relative. A relative position element is positioned relative to itself. So if you set position to relative and top to 0, it will continue to stay where it is without floating. <html> <head> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { var floatingDiv = $("#divfloating"); var floatingDivPosition = floatingDiv.position(); $(window).scroll(function () { var scrollPosition = $(window).scrollTop(); if (scrollPosition >= floatingDivPosition.top) { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'fixed', 'top' : 3 }); } else { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'relative', 'top' : 0 }); } }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial;"> <table align="center" border="1" style="border-collapse:collapse"> <tr> <td style="width:500px"> Main Page Content </td> <td style="width:150px; vertical-align:top"> Side panel content <br /><br /> <div id="divfloating" style="background-color:silver; width:150px; height:150px"> Floating Div - Keeps floating as you scroll down the page </div> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>

CSS Tutorial — Selectors, Element, Class and ID (3/13)

06:35
CSS Tutorial — Selectors, Element, Class and ID (3/13) So we just looked at a basic CSS statement and it starts with a selector. So what the hell are selectors, again? Say you are brangelina, and you have a bunch of kids, you wanna dress them for school except only one of them is old enough for school. So first you have to pick the right kid, then dress/style them. That’s what selectors are. Choose which kid you wanna prepare for school. Or since you’re not brangelina, Choose which element you wanna style. It all starts with the selector. There are different kinds of selectors. In our example, we used what’s called an element selector because it targets your styles based on the element type, That’s the most basic selector there is. By using the element type. Like a p tag. Cool? Cool. The problem with element selectors is that you might not want to turn ALL your paragraphs blue. What if you had 3 paragraphs and you only want one of them to be blue? The element type is an identifier but in this case it’s too general. I wanna show you an example. Look at this thing on atom’s website. See these two sections? One of them has a white background, the other one is beige. If you inspect it you’ll see they’re both divs, here they are, so clearly the dudes who made this couldn’t have said oh select all divs and change the background to white or beige. They needed to be more specific. You can select elements based on other kinds of identifiers. Classes and ID. Class is the most common and useful one, in fact that’s exactly what Atom is using. Take a look. They have wrapper class on one, and highlight on the other. If you click on highlight, you’ll see that class has a beige background on it. So let’s do one ourselves. Let’s say you have 4 paragraphs and you want to alternate between dark and light. So dark, light, dark, light. In other words you wanna reuse a style for multiple elements. In this case you can use a CLASS selector. The way you write these in CSS is you write the name of your class, this could be whatever you want, just can’t have spaces and some special characters, say DARK, and you put a DOT in front of it. Why a DOT? Well, I dunno what to tell you. There’s no good explanation why, that at least I know about. It’s just syntax that you have to remember. This tells the browser hey this is a CLASS selector. Then of course you have to add the class to your element in HTML. This means “hey select all the elements that have a class attribute and the value is dark. Let’s try it: DEMO 4 - I’m gonna cover ID selectors too just for the sake of it although we don’t use them much. ID attributes are specific to one element only. If you have a style that you want to apply to only one element, for some reason, you can add an ID to that element (for example: my-blue-paragraph), then use an ID selector in CSS to style it. ID selectors are just like CLASS selectors, except you put a # in front of the name instead of the DOT. That becomes the CSS selector for the element with that ID. So let’s try it. DEMO 3 - The problem with ID is that it’s limited to only 1 element. Remember IDs can’t be shared between elements. So you can’t reuse my-blue-paragraph ID for multiple elements. So those are the 3 basic selectors. Element, Class and ID. “Element” to style the elements of that type. ID to target only one specific element. And Class to reuse for multiple elements. We’ll be using all of them from now on. Selectors can get much much more complicated and they will, but now you know the basics. So next, we’re gonna look at some of our options when it comes to style properties, like color, so far that’s all we’ve used so I’m gonna talk about it in detail. Later, fonts, sizes, background, border, animations, display types, flexbox, where’d everyone go? I was talking.

We discussed how to do exactly the same thing using raw JavaScript in Part 41 of JavaScript tutorial. When you click on the image thumnail, the respective image should be displayed in the main section of the page. For the purpose of this demo we will be using the images that can be found on any windows machine at the following path. C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures Step 1 : Open Visual Studio and create a new empty asp.net web application project. Name it Demo. Step 2 : Right click on the Project Name in Solution Explorer in Visual Studio and create a new folder with name = Images. Step 3 : Copy images from C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures to Images folder in your project. Step 4 : Right click on the Project Name in Solution Explorer in Visual Studio and add a new HTML Page. It should automatically add HTMLPage1.htm. Step 5 : Add a reference to the download jQuery file. I am using jquery-1.11.2.js version for this demo. Step 6 : Copy and paste the following HTML and jQuery code in HTMLPage1.htm page. Replace < with LESSTHAN symbol and > with GREATERTHAN symbol <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> .imgStyle { width: 100px; height: 100px; border: 3px solid grey; } </style> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('#divId img').on({ mouseover: function () { $(this).css({ 'cursor': 'hand', 'border-Color': 'red' }); }, mouseout: function () { $(this).css({ 'cursor': 'default', 'border-Color': 'grey' }); }, click: function () { var imageURL = $(this).attr('src'); $('#mainImage').fadeOut(500, function () { $(this).attr('src', imageURL); }).fadeIn(500); } }); }); </script> </head> <body> <img id="mainImage" style="border:3px solid grey" src="/Images/Hydrangeas.jpg" height="500" width="540" /> <br /> <div id="divId"> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Hydrangeas.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Jellyfish.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Koala.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Penguins.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Tulips.jpg" /> </div> </body> </html> In our next video, we will discuss how to make this image gallery a bit more efficient using the concept of event bubbling.

How to count the number of characters as you type in a textbox and display that count in a label control JavaScript focus method : focus() method is used to put the keyboard cursor in a particular textbox when the web page loads so that we can start typing without having to first click in the textbox with the mouse. For example, when a web page with the following HTML and JavaScript is loaded, the keyboard cursor is already in the textbox waiting for the user to type his input. There is no need for the user to first click in the textbox with his mouse. Name : [asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"][/asp:TextBox] [script type="text/javascript"] document.getElementById("TextBox1").focus(); [/script] focus() method can be used with most HTML elements. For example, when a web page with the following HTML and JavaScript is loaded, the keyboard focus is set to DropDownList1 control. You can change the Gender value in the DropDownList by pressing ALT + Down Arrow keys simultaneously. Since we are using focus() method there is no need to first click on the DropDownList with the mouse. [table style="border:1px solid black"] [tr] [td]Name[/td] [td][asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"][/asp:TextBox][/td] [/tr] [tr] [td]Gender[/td] [td] [asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownList1" runat="server"] [asp:ListItem Text="Male" Value="Male"][/asp:ListItem] [asp:ListItem Text="Female" Value="Female"][/asp:ListItem] [/asp:DropDownList] [/td] [/tr] [/table] [script type="text/javascript"] document.getElementById("DropDownList1").focus(); [/script] JavaScript select method : select() method is used to select the contents of a text field, so when you start typing, the new text that you have typed will automatically replace the existing selected text. You can use select() method with textbox and textarea controls. When a web page with the following HTML and JavaScript is loaded, the text in the textarea element is selected and when you start typing, the new text that you typed will replace the existing selected text. [table style="border:1px solid black"] [tr] [td]Name[/td] [td][asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"][/asp:TextBox][/td] [/tr] [tr] [td]Comments[/td] [td] [asp:TextBox ID="TextBox2" TextMode="MultiLine" runat="server" Text="Type your comments here"][/asp:TextBox] [/td] [/tr] [/table] [script type="text/javascript"] document.getElementById("TextBox2").select(); [/script] How to count the number of characters as you type in a textbox and display the count in a label control Name : [asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" onkeyup="CountCharacters();"] [/asp:TextBox] [asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server"][/asp:Label] [script type="text/javascript"] function CountCharacters() { document.getElementById("Label1").innerHTML = document.getElementById("TextBox1").value.length + " charactes"; } [/script]
