Newsweek's Ilhan Omar cover, article, slammed for 'normalizing' hate, anti-Semitism

01:47
Newsweek magazine is in hot water for “normalizing” hate after featuring embattled Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar as the cover story about how she shifted the Democratic Party and the conversation about Israel. Omar, who has faced repeated controversies over her comments about Israel and supporters of the Jewish state, was put on the cover of Newsweek’s latest issue with the headline “Ilhan Omar, The Democrats And Israel.” CRENSHAW CALLS OUT OMAR FOR DESCRIBING 9/11 ATTACKS AS 'SOME PEOPLE DID SOMETHING' Social media went into a frenzy over the magazine’s issue, criticizing the publication for further legitimizing Omar’s views on Israel. “Normalizing and even elevating an anti-Semite is a new low even for Newsweek. It’s been a shame to see a once decent publication devolve into such a clickbait rag,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote in a tweet. National Rifle Association’s Dana Loesch pointed out recent controversies involving the congresswoman “Calls a Jewish man a ‘white nationalist,’ accused Jewish people of dual loyalty, described 9/11 as ‘some people did something’ — if Newsweek is talking about Omar ‘changing the conversation’ to include more anti-Semitism, they’re right,” she tweeted. Omar was first accused of anti-Semitism for tweeting in 2012 that “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” REP. ILHAN OMAR PROBED FOR ALLEGEDLY SPENDING $6,000 OF CAMPAIGN FUNDS ON DIVORCE ATTORNEY, PERSONAL TRAVEL She then drew bipartisan uproar in February after she suggested politicians in the U.S. were bought by AIPAC, a non-partisan organization that seeks to foster the relationship between the U.S. and Israel. Omar then reignited the controversy, saying groups supportive of Israel were pushing members of Congress to have “allegiance to a foreign country,” echoing the anti-Semitic trope of dual loyalty. The Newsweek article credits Omar with shifting leftwards the debate on the U.S. support for Israel, adding that her views are becoming increasingly shared among the Democratic voters, which will force any candidates in the future to embrace Omar’s views. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP “To remain a viable candidate in the upcoming primaries, it will be vital for contenders to win the support of the Democratic base, which skews younger, more multiethnic and progressive — in short, Omar’s supporters,” the article concluded.

Wide exterior of bookshop 11. Shoppers STORYLINE: Pakistani authorities banned an issue of the international magazine Newsweek for publishing "objectionable remarks, which are tantamount to desecration of the Quran," Islam's holy book, state-run news agency and media reports said on Friday. A government official in Islamabad, the capital, ordered the "forfeiture of all the copies of the weekly Newsweek of November 22," the Associated Press of Pakistan reported. It said authorities were considering taking legal action against the magazine but gave no details. Pakistan's largest circulation English language newspaper, The News, said the magazine article by Stryker Mcguire called "Clash of Civilization" with a picture of a girl with Quranic inscriptions written on her bare back was "a naked attack on Muslims' faith. It hurts the feelings of over a billion inhabitants (Muslims) on this earth." The picture causing the storm was a frame taken from the Dutch filmmaker Theovan Gogh's documentary "Submission", which was "an attack on Islamic treatment of Muslim women." The documentary led to the killing of its maker on 2nd November, allegedly by a Muslim, who according to the Newsweek considered Gogh's work blasphemous. The ban of the issue will have little impact on sales though - the November 29 edition of Newsweek was already on newsstands on Friday. An Islamabad book shop owner told APTN that the 22nd November edition had sold 50 per cent better than other editions of the magazine. It is the second time in Pakistan that authorities have banned the distribution of Newsweek in the country. Authorities also banned the magazine in July 2003, saying it published an article "insulting to the Quran." About 97 percent of Pakistan's 150 (m) million people are Muslims. Under Pakistan's blasphemy law, anyone who insults Islam, its Prophet Mohammed or the Quran may receive punishment as severe as the death sentence. Between 2008 and 2012, Newsweek experienced financial difficulties, leading to the cessation of print publication and a transition to all-digital format at the end of 2012. The print edition was relaunched in March 2014. Revenue declines prompted an August 2010 sale by owner The Washington Post Company to audio pioneer Sidney Harman—for a purchase price of one dollar and an assumption of the magazine's liabilities. Later that year, Newsweek merged with the news and opinion website The Daily Beast, forming The Newsweek Daily Beast Company. Newsweek was jointly owned by the estate of Harman and the diversified American media and Internet company IAC. In 2013, IBT Media announced it had acquired Newsweek from IAC; the acquisition included the Newsweek brand and its online publication, but did not include The Daily Beast. IBT Media rebranded itself as Newsweek Media Group in 2017, but returned to IBT Media in 2018 after making Newsweek independent.

Does Shocking Newsweek Cover Hint Beginning of Mass Round Up?

29:04
Newsweek magazine's Kurt Eichenwald has gone all the way. One issue after another, some exposed for decades now, according to Eichenwald it's all "conspiracy theories". What do all of these "conspiracy theories" all have in common? They all point back to the global government plans for world domination. Whether it's Agenda 21, Vaccines, 9/11 crimes or even the very "cognitive infiltration" Cass Sunstein himself professed needed to be done to the truth movement, forget it, it's all "conspiracy theories" according to globalist minion Kurt Eichenwald. Is the Newsweek article a sign of the times? Are the globalists and their mainstream media desperate? Losing their audience and their influence? Is this a precursor to demonizing the majority of Americans? Whatever it is, it's a dangerous game Eichenwald has chosen to play in demonizing good Americans who demand transparency, don't believe in government pseudo-science and computer model simulations, realize when the bad guys are in charge, and choose to think critically and voice their opinions against large corporate interest. It is important to understand that everything that is happening world-wide including the exposing of the globalists new world order plans is a natural process that cannot be stopped. Eichenwald does not understand this simple awakening process and thus resorts to CIA intelligence mind control talk glossing over one massive proven crime or active agenda after another and pretending like it doesn't even exist. At Truth and Art TV we regularly remind our audience that Edward Bernays, Sigmund Fraud's nephew introduced many of the mass mind control tactics we are seeing today in real-time. Bernays even helped established the CIA department of propaganda. As long as Americans are well aware of these globalist tactics they will not be impressed by these horrible attempts to keep the blind sheep asleep in the matrix. Help spread awareness of this Newsweek magazine propaganda. Here's the corresponding article to this video: TruthandArtTV.com/read_91103

OBAMA'S GOTTA GO NEWSWEEK COVER - Economic Collapse 2012

02:31
You know things must be getting bad for President Obama when a heavily left leaning Newsweek magazine (I'm not sure who actually reads that rag anymore) prints a cover that says, "Hit the Road Barack. Why we need a new president." Even though the article is written by a conservative who used to work for the McCain campaign back in Election 2008, that's pretty interesting that Newsweek would do this. Of course Newsweek, even though they are liberal, has never shied from controversy and this cover and article is certainly no different. In the article, author Niall Ferguson chronicles a pretty comprehensive list of President Obama's promises and then the complete and utter failure to deliver on even a single one of those pledges. And on the things that President Obama has actually accomplished, such as Wall Street reform, if you want to call it that (but that's a topic for another video), Stimulus Bills and even what Ferguson call Pelosicare, because it was Nancy Pelosi who pushed Obamacare through Congress, President Obama has ruled by suggestion. It was in fact Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank that created the monstrous Wall Street reform bill, Nancy Pelosi and her cabal that wrote the stimulus bills and Pelosi that rammed Obama's healthcare plan through Congress because he couldn't even pretend to be a leader on his own supposed bill. The article goes on and on to cover Obama's abysmal failures in great detail and is so comprehensive, it is 5 pages long, I don't see how anyone can substantively disagree with it nor defend it. The bottom line, Obama Needs to find a new job because we are facing economic collapse and more and he really has done nothing about it. We really can't handle another 4 years of this disaster. It's worth the long read, so click on the link below to read it and leave your comments in the comment section below this video. "New" vs. "Old" Terrorism

01:30:29
Middle East Program Director's Forum International Security Studies After the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, Newsweek magazine featured an article on what it called the "new terrorism." One element of the 9/11 Commission's critique of U.S. policy was that officials had not fully comprehended the nature and implications of this new terrorism. Professor Crenshaw offered a "skeptical, contrarian" analysis of the emerging conventional wisdom, questioning whether the "new terrorism" paradigm is based on an adequate interpretation of the past.

Newsweek Publishes the Dumbest Hit Piece on Bernie Sanders Yet

08:22
Newsweek published an article attacking Bernie Sanders because he wore a $700 coat to Bill de Blasio's swearing-in ceremony. Seriously. The implication is that (a) since Bernie rails against oligarchic greed, then (b) he must be a hypocrite because wearing a $700 coat makes him inherently greedy and selfish. The problem, however, is that Bernie was given the jacket as a gift. But factual errors aside, the article is illogical through and through, and we'll dive into it in this segment. Raid: Newsweek Servers Seized

03:37
Raid: Newsweek Servers Seized It was a breaking news story — but not exactly the type Newsweek was aching to report. About two dozen investigators from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office converged on the fifth-floor newsroom of Newsweek on Thursday — taking photos of computers and servers, sources said. The fifth floor also houses the office of Newsweek Media Group, the publication’s parent company — which used to be called IBT Media. The investigators, who arrived shortly before 8 a.m., focused on the computers’ serial numbers — and walked out six hours later carrying several of the servers, sources said. The staff was left shaken and mystified. ... https://nypost.com/2018/01/18/nypd-officers-raid-newsweek-headquarters/ ===================================================== KEEP THIS CHANNEL ALIVE Support this channel on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Headlines_With_A_Voice One-time support offerings may be sent to the following email address using PayPal: [email protected] NOTE: Alternate sites where you may access my daily narrated news are listed below. COLOMBIA: PRESIDENTIAL FRONT RUNNER DENIES NEWSWEEK ALLEGATIONS

02:10
Spanish/Nat Colombia's presidential front runner Horacio Serpa has accused the U-S of dirty tricks following allegations published in 'Newsweek International' magazine which link him to drug money. Serpa - the former interior minister - dismissed this week's article as fairy tale and, in a press conference, challenged the U-S to prove otherwise. On Tuesday Serpa said he would resign if Washington provided proof of their allegations. The United States on Monday was accused of launching a smear campaign against Colombia's presidential front-runner Horacio Serpa. Serpa issued the allegation after this week's issue of 'Newsweek International' published an article quoting senior U-S officials saying they had "solid proof" of Serpa's alleged links to drug traffickers. The response was immediate. On Monday, the left-leaning populist, said he had become the victim of a smear campaign and requested proof to back the allegations SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) "I have sent a letter to the publication asking for clarification. I am going to acquaint you with the text, asking them to be serious, asking them for responsibility, asking them for concrete evidence, that they present it (the evidence) immediately. That they do not work in such a cowardly and unmeasured way. That they respect a Colombian citizen who is aspiring, because he has political and moral authority, to be the next president of this great nation." SUPER CAPTION: Horacio Serpa, presidential candidate The 'Newsweek' article alleges Washington is nervous of a Serpa victory in next year's presidential elections. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) "Nobody who has links with narco-traffickers with crime can hope to be president of the republic. I swear on my public life, on my head, with my life if it is necessary, if it is necessary in this situation. There is no evidence. I say it for emphasis. There can be no evidence. I have not committed any reprobable act in my life. I have never had links with narco-trafficking, I have never had links with crime. I have always pursued criminals. I have always been against crime." SUPER CAPTION: Horacio Serpa, presidential candidate The magazine claimed the U-S would clamp punitive economic sanctions on Colombia if he were elected. Serpa, a veteran critic of the U-S, is the man most tipped to win. Some local analysts share Serpa's allegations that this is a campaign to curtail his presidential aspirations. SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) "This is another part of the traditional policy and a way of manipulating the elections ahead of time, a way of being present in the decision-making process of the next government which on one hand can be advantageous but on the other hand it can create a bad image of what the U-S policy could be towards Latin America." SUPER CAPTION: Vicente Torrijos, political analyst Serpa is a loyal supporter of the controversial incumbent president Ernesto Samper whose electoral campaign was later found to have received six (m) million U-S dollars from the Cali drug cartel. Serpa remains under investigation for his possible role in the affair. But he maintains he has never committed an illegal act throughout his 30-year political career.
