What the World Will Look Like When All the Ice Melts

01:08
What will the world look like when all the ice melts? Many experts believe that water levels in the ocean are rising as ice melts due to higher temperatures caused by climate change. Right now, over five million cubic miles of ice exists on the surface of our planet, which one estimate says would take longer than 5 thousand years to melt if global warming rates continue. An interactive map created by National Geographic shows what the world would look like if all the ice on Earth melted and added to the sea levels. Estimates show that this would raise the oceans by 216 feet, flooding coastal cities and creating shorelines that are deeper inland. The East coast of North America, including all of Florida would be underwater, along with the west coast cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, California. Parts of Europe would be devastated by the Atlantic Ocean covering London, the Netherlands, and most of Denmark. Although major cities in Egypt like Cairo and Alexandria would become part of the Mediterranean Sea, the continent of Africa would be least effected by rising sea levels. In Asia, the country of Bangladesh with a population of 160 million would be entirely wiped out, and in Australia, the thin coastal band around the continent where four out of five Aussies live would be underwater.

Super Hurricanes and Typhoons

30:19
Hurricanes, typhoons, tropical cyclones: they are creatures of tropical seas, sweeping up heat laden waters, converting it to wind, rain, and waves. Why do a rare few evolve into colossal monsters, that leave in their wake a trail of destruction, death, and despair? Do we now face a rising tide of Super Hurricanes and Typhoons? One reason is that more and more people are moving to coastlines around the world, drawn by a combination of jobs and lifestyle. In the United States, for example, 39% of the population lives in coastal counties. A Columbia University report takes a global look at this trend by identifying major disaster hot spots: the east coast of North America, Bangladesh, the Philippines, the east coast of China. These hurricane-prone coastlines, with their dense population centers, hold enormous potential for economic loss and loss of life. To make matters worse, the oceans have gotten steadily warmer over the last few decades, adding potency to the hurricane's fuel. Sea levels are expected to rise by as much as a meter by the end of the century, increasing the risks of storm surge. As more people pack the coastlines, man and nature are in the midst of an excrutiating head-on collision. Hurricane Ike slammed into Galveston in 2008. The cost in 2010 dollars: 28 billion. Andrew hit Miami in 1992. 45 billion. Sandy swept into New Jersey in 2012. 60 billion. Katrina in New Orleans: 106 billion. Not to mention the loss of thousands of lives.

CO2 Passes Milestone Level

01:54
For the first time in human history, the concentration of climate-warming carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has passed the milestone level of 400 parts per million (ppm). The last time so much greenhouse gas was in the air was several million years ago, when the Arctic was ice-free, savannah spread across the Sahara desert and sea level was up to 40 metres higher than today. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2013/may/10/carbon-dioxide-highest-level-greenhouse-gas The CO2 graphs: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/interactive/2013/may/10/climate-warming-gas-carbon-dioxide-levels-interactive Subscribe to The Daily Conversation http://bit.ly/WZnLnd Join the conversation on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/thedailyconversation Add TDC to your circles on Google+ https://plus.google.com/100134925804523235350/posts Follow The Daily Conversation on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/thedailyconvo There's scary news this week that climate warming gas in our atmosphere has passed the 400ppm milestone--higher than it's ever been in at least the last 3 million years, a period known as the Plicocene when global temperatures were 3-4 degrees celcius higher than they are today. "The passing of this milestone is a significant reminder of the rapid rate at which -- and the extent to which -- we have increased the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere," said Prof Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which serves as science adviser to the world's governments. "At the beginning of industrialisation the concentration of CO2 was just 280ppm. We must hope that the world crossing this milestone will bring about awareness of the scientific reality of climate change and how human society should deal with the challenge." These charts show just how frightening this moment is for humanity, which has seen CO2s levels growing at an ever-increasing rate. Zooming out really shows the true scope of this problem if we don't get it under control and quick. We're basically suffocating ourselves and all the other life on our planet. If global temperatures rise by more than 2C, Earth will lose more than half of the common plant species--the less plants we have, the worse this problem is going to get as plants are a crucial element to keeping our air clean and breathable. This news drives home the point that global warming and the climate change it will cause is undoubtedly the defining issue of our time, but we're not doing anything close to enough about it, especially here in America--the second leading CO2 emitting country behind the coal-happy Chinese. This has to become the top issue in American politics and should dominate the 2016 presidential campaign. But to make this happen, we have to continue to raise awareness about what the scientific evidence is telling us every single day.

Teachers Feedback on Scientific Moving Globe

01:08
We have conducted the workshop with an overall strength of 40 enthusiastic medak district teachers with the support given by Smt.V.Usharani IAS Rajiv Vidya Mission SPD and clarified the misconceptions of earth science concepts. As explaining and understanding the formation of seasons, earth's motion w.r.t the Sun can be challenging for teachers and students. An Activity Based Learning methodology with Scientific Moving Globe will definitely create awareness among the teachers, students and encourage them to practically understand and study about planet earth's motions w.r.t the Sun, formations of seasons and formation of climatic zones etc. As you are aware earth motions w.r.t the Sun and external atmospheric effect are the main reasons for the challenges we face today on our planet earth like, Climate change, Global warming, Uneven rainfall, increasing temperatures, increase in sea levels and melting of Glaciers etc. P h: 09573077345, 09989793824. www.edubharath.com, www.facebook.com/edubharath

Future Warming Getting Hotter

01:46
Researchers reviewed the likelihood of continued changes to the terrestrial climate, including an analysis of a collection of 27 climate models. If emissions of heat-trapping gases continue along the recent trajectory, 21st century mean annual global warming could exceed 3.6 °F ( 2 °C) over most terrestrial regions during 2046 to 2065 and 7.2 °F (4 °C) during 2081-2100.At this pace, it will probably be the most rapid large climate change in the last 65 million years.

GPU Height Field Water

01:13
For weeks 9 & 10 of Google Summer of Code 2013, I am porting most of the CPU serial codes to the GPU using GLSL. This is a GLSL port of the water simulations that I have created in week 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mh4ouyoMlL8) and week 7 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM10Pa3blVs) Recall that the pipe model water is able to accumulate volumes and raise the water level as more water is added into the system, as can be seen towards the end of the video. The other water types are just surface disturbances. To raise the water level of these water types, a mean water level variable is stored which moves all vertices up/down accordingly. Two render targets are used to accumulate the simulation states, with each channel representing a variable from the previous frame (e.g. red channel represents height, green channel represents vertical derivative and so on). More render targets are used for simulations which requires multiple synchronized steps. A vertex texture fetch is then done to read the accumulated texture and using that to do a height map displacement on the displayed terrain mesh, using another set of shaders. Water simulations on a 256x256 mesh is interactive and runs in real time at 60 fps in Google Chrome on this system: - Intel i7 Quad Core @ 2.67 GHz with Hyper-Threading - 16GB RAM - NVidia GeForce GTS 250 (512 MB VRAM) It should work fine on higher resolution meshes (e.g. 512x512) but I was not able to load such high resolution meshes in Three.js for testing. [ Source Codes ] A snapshot of the source codes at the end of week 9 & 10 is available at GitHub: https://github.com/skeelogy/ifc-ar-flood/releases/GSoC_wk_09_10_end [ Background info ] For Google Summer of Code 2013, I am working with Iowa Flood Center to create a web-based augmented reality application using HTML5 technologies for an interactive flood simulation.

David McCandless: The beauty of data visualization

18:18
This presentation provides some great examples of how to present complicated data in ways that maximize the amount information transferred. Use it for inspiration when generated engineering plots for decision makers. [-ejr] --- From www.ted.com --- David McCandless makes infographics -- simple, elegant ways to see information that might be too complex or too big, small, abstract or scattered to otherwise be grasped. In his new book, Information Is Beautiful (in the US, it's being called The Visual Miscellaneum), McCandless and his cadre of info designers take a spin through the world of visualized data, from hard stats on politics and climate to daffy but no less important trends in pop music. McCandless' genius is not so much in finding jazzy new ways to show data -- the actual graphics aren't the real innovation here -- as in finding fresh ways to combine datasets to let them ping and prod each other. Reporting the number of drug deaths in the UK every year is interesting; but mapping that data onto the number of drug deaths reported by the UK press, broken down by drug, is utterly fascinating (more deaths by marijuana were reported than in fact occurred, by a factor of 484%). McCandless contributes a monthly big-think graphic to the Guardian's Data Blog, and makes viral graphics for his blog Information Is Beautiful. "It's not just the sheer variety of topics covered -- though knowing the relative effect of rising sea levels or the prime vintage years for red and white wines by country will come in handy someday soon, I'm certain -- but the way in which, for many of these charts, there's considerably more than meets the eye." As John pointed out last week, the Cold War was occasionally hot, and a lot of that heat was generated in Asia. This is starting to sound weird with the hot/cold thing, so let's just say that the United States struggle against communist expansion escalated to full-blown, boots on the ground war in Korea and Vietnam. In both of these cases, the United States sent soldiers to intervene in civil wars that it looked like communists might win. That's a bit of a simplification, but John will explain it all to you. Dead Rising 3 - Map Details!

05:31
Outro Songs: http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialNoTomorrow Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisJayRommel Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ChrisJayRommel Following in the footsteps of previous Dead Rising installments, players control new protagonist Nick Ramos in 3rd person. You start by searching for supplies and weapons in order to fight the undead and complete missions. Dead Rising 3 is set in a vast, open world environment which is reportedly larger than the worlds of Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 combined. According to developers, the game can render three times as many zombies on-screen at once as its predecessor. Unlike the first two games in the series, Dead Rising 3 does not feature a time limit. Players will also be allowed to save their progress anywhere, as opposed to limiting saves to bathrooms. The game will include a "Nightmare Mode" for those who prefer the traditional time limit and save options. The game will not have load times. Dead Rising 3 expands upon the crafting system introduced in Dead Rising 2. Players retain the ability to create "combo weapons", but without the need for a workbench, allowing them to craft weapons on the fly. Dead Rising 3 also allows players to create "combo vehicles", such as combining a motorcycle and steamroller to form a "RollerHawg". Each combo vehicle includes two seats and a secondary attack to support cooperative gameplay. According to Capcom Vancouver, driving vehicles will be "a critical part of exploration" as players navigate the city of Los Perdidos. Players will be able to discover and unlock blueprints for new combo weapons and vehicles. Dead Rising 3 will utilize both the Kinect and Xbox SmartGlass. The optional Kinect feature gives zombies a certain level of situational awareness. Loud noises from the player could potentially trigger a rush of zombies; however, the player can also use the ability to shout at zombies through the Kinect in order to distract them. According to Executive Producer Josh Bridge, the microphone sensitivity will be tuned to "a threshold that makes sense," so that attracting zombies will feel like an intentional decision. The Xbox SmartGlass feature, which is also optional, can be used to locate specific items, find abandoned storefronts, and set waypoints for mission objectives. It also provides players with exclusive missions that unlock apps within the SmartGlass, giving them the ability to call in airstrikes, drone support, or area-wide flares for fending off or drawing the attention of the undead.

Continent discovered? Scientists find possible land mass in Atlantic Ocean

00:46
Japanese researchers have found granite on the seabed of the Atlantic Ocean, suggesting a continent may have once existed off the coast of Brazil. The team found the ten metre-high by ten metre-wide rock more than 900 metres uder the ocean while conducting a survey with its deep-sea submersible in the Rio Grande Rise, part of the southwest Atlantic basin. Granite is usually only found on land, and researchers say its presence on the seabed may be evidence of a continental land-mass that was swallowed by the waves. A large volume of quartz sand, which is also not formed at sea, was found around the granite slab. Report by Sophie Foster. [UFLL 2013] [Team 3 Mowgli] WATER Talk project

03:01
WATER TALK project TARGET CUSTOMER: - Women - Age 18 - 30 - Living in urban areas and having a busy life - Income: in the range of A, B, C, D - Using softener or tending to use it in the future CUSTOMER BEHAVIOR: Using wrong ways to wash and rinse: After washing by detergent, they wash twice by clean water while they are using 1-rinse softener for the last time. The wrong proportion in using detergent and softener makes clothes unclean and unsafe. They bear in mind that 1-rinse softener can not make it clean as they expect. . REASON: The main reason is: They don't believe the cleanliness and safety after rinsing once. SOLUTION: Let them know the true way of washing and rinsing, combine the message of saving clean water inside the WATER TALK campaign. It would be divided into 4 campaigns listed below: 1. SOUND CAMPAIGN: - Purpose: To raise the public awareness of the water crisis and show people that we can change the situation by changing the rinsing behavior. - Concept: Touching customers' heart by letting them hear the sound of water in the real world. Water can talk and we can help them to understand water's language. - Action: We will invent an app in smart phone, which is easy to download on Google Play or IPhone Store. After that, turn on the app and reach it near the water sound like the faucet, shower, rain... They will convert that sound into our language, and will connect to a video link talking about the status quo of water and instruct them that changing the way of washing and rinsing can make a big impact to our planet. 2. 1CF1R - Purpose: To make the CF1R user easy to follow with related products. Therefore, we will perfect the CF1R product and combine with the other. - Insight: The discrepancies and lack of information make customers confused. - Action: 1/ The unit in CF1R and detergents like OMO are different. We think that is the reason to make the user confused while using both products together. Therefore, we think it should be unified as one unit to let them easy to follow and do right. 2/ CF1R and the other Comfort brand without one rinse function should be come to one rinse products in their function. 3/ We should improve the CF1R function like added anti-bacteria function. 4/ Website contents should have and official page teaching them how to wash and rinse rightly. 3. SMART USER GENERATION (SUG) CAMPAIGN - Purpose: To create new green users to make the green environment for our future life by combining all the related parties. - 4 aspects to approach: 1/ The grocery stores and cloth stores: We will connect with their sellers to encourage them give the washing and rinsing advice for the customer such as rinsing once to protect their clothes, for example. 2/ Detergent (OMO as representative): Detergent power should be reduced foam and liquid detergent should be promoted strongly and impressively. 3/ CF1R product: We mentioned above in 1CF1R campaign. 4/ Washing machine: We will co-operate with manufactures in this industry to create a new generation with has a smart automatical button on the machine to run automatically one wash and one rinse to help user do rightly and correctly. 4. 1TYM3NUOC PROJECT - Purpose: To strengthen the activities of the campaign and spread widely and directly to the customer. - Action: + Offline activity: Make a voting box. In each CF1R product, one water drop will be attached. And the user will pick it out and drop it into the voting box at the counter in supermarkets. This water drop will go to one of 3 areas at the bottom of the box. This vote will be count as the same time on the website. After dropping, customers will receive a gift form that areas and a booklet to protect the water. + Online activity: Improve content of the website to be more practical and interactive. It should be included the video clip of the situation of 3 areas lacking water such as Son La, Ben tre, and Quang Tri. We will update these areas by recording every period about the status quo and result to bring the visual outcome to the users who have voted before. ACTION PLAN - Milestones: Water Talk project can be run and give a strong support to our life in 2 years... or more. In this time, we prepare all the technology and contents for the sound campaign, and unify the package of all Comfort product lines, and also the appearance of OMO. In the way, SOUND campaign will be ready to launch in Aug, 2014. Up to June, 2015, while the Sound campaign is on site and all the targeted external parties agree to co-operate with us, we reach 500.000 people rinsing once, and make it ready to launch the offline activities of "1 tỷ mét khối nước" project. All of them will lead to the expected result that we can get 1 million people rinsing once at the end of 2015. -Prospectively, we can expand Water Talk to help all the Vietnamese have clean water to use after 2015. Thank you so much for your time and your consideration!

Hammer Tutorial V2 Series #10 "Adding Water to Your Level"

02:44
If you have a question, EMAIL ME! Download the VMF here! http://tutmaps.tophattwaffle.com/ See Upcoming and past tutorials here! http://queue.tophattwaffle.com/ Adding Water to your level, quick and easy. Water Limitations/Requirments Expensive Water: There may be only one water level height in a PVS if the water is expensive. "Expensive" and "cheap" water may not be used simultaneously in the same PVS. The water's surface should never slope in the Z-axis; it should always be parallel to the horizon line in a map. Water is created by applying a water material to the top-most surface of a brush, while covering the remaining faces with the tools\toolsnodraw material. The water_lod_control entity controls the distance at which expensive water transitions into cheap water. An env_cubemap entity must be present for the water surface to render properly on sub-DX9 hardware. Areaportals may never cross the water surface. Water does not seal the map. Only the top of the brush renders correctly when seen. The sides and bottom are not rendered. What is Water Circulation?

02:09
Hi, I'm Emerald Robinson, and in this "What is" video, we'll examine the question, "What is water (http://www.redorbit.com/topics/water/) circulation?" In nature, water circulation is the mixing of layers found in a body of water. This mixing helps to equalize the distribution of oxygen concentration, nutrient levels, salt concentration, the amount of waste and pollution, and temperature. While water circulation occurs to some degree in many bodies of water, it's especially important in lakes, estuaries, and oceans. Since lakes are largely still and calm, water circulation is vital to their ecosystems' health. Lake water tends to form three layers: top, middle, and bottom. When these layers mix, the lake experiences what is called "turnover." Turnover is driven by differences in water density. Cold water is more dense than warm water and sinks; warm water rises. When air temperatures at a lake's surface get colder, so does the temperature of the top layer. This layer becomes more dense and sinks, forcing the other layers to rise and mix. Estuaries form when fresh water from a river's mouth mixes with seawater. Salty water is less dense than freshwater, and forms a layer at the surface of an estuary. Since different kind of organisms can live in different amounts of salt water, water circulation is crucial in estuary ecosystems. Winds, tides, rainfall, and even storms play vital roles in the rate of an estuary's water circulation. Water circulation in oceans is called thermohaline circulation - circulation driven by both temperature and salt concentration. Thermohaline circulation occurs when water carried by currents flowing from the equator to the poles becomes cool, and sinks, flowing deep below the surface to refill the ocean basins, then rising back towards the surface as it becomes warmer and saltier. This type of water circulation carries heat to different parts of the globe, affecting land masses and, in turn climate and weather patterns - even the weather where you are!

Microchips May One Day Help Fight The Urge To Eat - The Daily Orbit

04:27
A little electronic intervention in the fight against obesity? Oh no!  What does the FBI have to say about the UFO? What's got engineers feeling ant-zy? And a little science romance on today's Daily Orbit! Hello and welcome to the Daily Orbit. I'm Emerald Robinson. Eat and eat and eat and you just can't seem to stop?  I hear ya.  Well, a new technology is putting a little charge in controlling your appetite.  Scientists are developing a microchip which they claim can suppress appetite.  Just a few millimeters in size,  the chip will attach via electrodes to the Vagus nerve - which communicates between the gut and the brain - and will be able to read electrical and chemical signals indicating appetite.  This little chip essentially says to the brain "woah-slow down buddy" or  "drop that fork" altogether.  But it's still gonna be a hot minute before it's available as they plan to start human testing in 3 years.  However, they say it could be an alternative to weight loss surgeries in the fight against obesity. What was that?  A new memo entitled "UFOs or NO? The Guy Hottel Memo" released by the FBI has got unidentified flying objects headlining again.  In the two years since the FBI opened their online repository the "Vault," the most read doc has been a 1950 memo telling a third-hand account of flying saucers.  The memo tells the story of 3 flying saucers with three 3 foot tall men dressed in metallic cloth.  So aliens know how to dress!  But the FBI says it was written too late to be describing the Roswell incident and it was most likely the result of a hoax conducted by a convicted man named Silas Newton. So the FBI must seriously want people to read something else in the "Vault" if they're taking the time to write a memo about it. This next story will have you feeling ant-zy.  But it's pretty cool.  Scientists have developed robotic ants that mimic the behavior of real ants.  Instead of following each other by scent like real ants that emit pheromones, these mechanical ants, or "Alices" as they've been dubbed, follow each other by using their antennae to follow the light trail left behind by other ants.  In a maze test, the robot ants slowly began to navigate the maze successfully by following one another until they found the most efficient route in just 30 minutes.  Talk about smart little robot ants.  I keep picturing them singing "Whistle while we work" even though that makes no sense.  Robots don't whistle. Last week we talked about the massive migration of Americans to the coastal regions, and now a new poll says that Americans want additional measures to be put in place to prevent destruction from massive storms. And those polled said that if you wanna move to the coast, then you need to foot the bill.  The poll was administered by Stanford University and prompted by the recently devastating Hurricane Sandy.  It showed that the majority of people believe that the temperature and sea level are rising and will translate into more storm damage. Americans favored more pro-active prevention efforts, but were clear that those living in coastal areas should be the ones to pay for the additional preventative measures.  Researchers say poll results should be helpful for coastal county policy makers.  They said "the question is, how does public support for preparation translate into action?" And NASA is taking action in monitoring the Ozone layer.  It plans to launch a new highly-sophisticated ozone sensor called the Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment III or simply SAGE III - that's much easier - to the International Space Station in 2014.  From there, SAGE III will be able to monitor ozone levels in the troposphere all over the globe by analyzing the light that passes through the Earth's atmosphere when the sun or moon rises or sets.  Its predecessors were used at the end of the 70s and in the early 80s to confirm the ozone layer's decline.  The new SAGE will be able to tell us exactly how the ozone is recovering.  NASA says "essentially SAGE III is analyzing the colors of the sunset to track ozone.  It sounds romantic, but this is hard science." Well personally I like a little romance with my science. Well that's all for today's Daily Orbit! See you tomorrow Orbiters!

Martin Luther King Jr., "The Drum Major Instinct" FINAL Sermon --- COMPLETE

38:43
MLK's last SERMON... prophetically ends with his own eulogy, beginning at 35:07. Delivered to Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia on February 4, 1968. Not to be confused with his last SPEECH "I've Been to the Mountaintop" given two months later on April 3, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. Also, there's an edited 19 minute version floating around... it's missing 3 sections and actually CUTS OFF HIS FINAL SENTENCE! Unbelievable... Comprehensive collection can be purchased here... https://amzn.to/2KkYhAJ TEXT: http://kingencyclopedia.stanford.edu/encyclopedia/documentsentry/doc_the_drum_major_instinct/ Synopsis: King's "Drum Major Instinct" sermon, given on 4 February 1968, was an adaptation of the 1952 homily ''Drum-Major Instincts'' by J. Wallace Hamilton. King encouraged his congregation to seek greatness, but to do so through service and love. King concluded the sermon by imagining his own funeral, downplaying his famous achievements and emphasizing his heart to do right.

Polar & Non-Polar Molecules: Crash Course Chemistry #23

10:46
*** PLEASE WATCH WITH ANNOTATIONS ON! SOME INACCURACIES IN GRAPHICS ARE NOTED AND CORRECTED IN ANNOTATIONS. THANKS! *** Molecules come in infinite varieties, so in order to help the complicated chemical world make a little more sense, we classify and categorize them. One of the most important of those classifications is whether a molecule is polar or non-polar, which describes a kind of symmetry - not just of the molecule, but of the charge. In this edition of Crash Course Chemistry, Hank comes out for Team Polar, and describes why these molecules are so interesting to him. You'll learn that molecules need to have both charge asymmetry and geometric asymmetry to be polar, and that charge asymmetry is caused by a difference in electronegativities. You'll also learn how to notate a dipole moment (or charge separation) of a molecule, the physical mechanism behind like dissolves like, and why water is so dang good at fostering life on Earth. -- Table of Contents Charge Assymetry & Geometric Asymmetry 01:33 Difference in Electronegatives 01:49 Hank is Team Polar 00:33 Dipole Moment 03:49 Charge Separation of a Molecule 04:12 Like Dissolves Like 04:41 Water is Awesome 05:10 -- Want to find Crash Course elsewhere on the internet? LIFE Webinar Series Presents Climate Change and Older Americans 2013-11-20

50:57
Older adults make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, but are projected to account for 20 percent by 2040. Coinciding with this demographic shift, the rate of climate change is accelerating, bringing rising temperatures; increased risk of floods, droughts, and wildfires; stronger tropical storms and hurricanes; rising sea levels; and other climate-related hazards. Older Americans are expected to be located in places that may be relatively more affected by climate change, including coastal zones and large metropolitan areas. This presentation reviews the research on climate change and older Americans, summarizing key findings related to demographics; climate stressors relevant to older adults; factors contributing to exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity; and adaptation strategies. Costa Caribe Aquatic Parc (June 2013)

03:57
See also my video made at Camping Sanguli in Salou: http://youtu.be/ttBg1Gfe-EQ This year PortAventura presents its brand new attraction: the completely renovated and extended Costa Caribe Aquatic Park. PortAventura's aquatic park has been revamped with a new children's area, children's pool with two depth levels and a pirate ship packed with Sesame Street characters. Together with this pool you will also find a Splash Pad, a small play area with interactive water jets connected to the kids' pool where adults can relax on large water beds and enjoy their invigorating effects. The park's greatest innovation is Europe's highest free fall waterslide. Do not miss out on the adventure of launching yourself from a height of 31 metres down a slope of 55 degrees that will make you reach dizzying speeds. If you prefer something less hair-raising, try the other new slides: multi bumper, fast-paced fun with changes in elevation, or the 6-lane racer slide to compete and see who gets to the bottom first. Discover, in addition to all the new attractions, more than 50 species of plants and palm trees that form the authentic Caribbean atmosphere of the renovated Costa Caribe Aquatic Park and large green areas where the whole family can relax after adventures in the park. This expansion will increase the area of Costa Caribe Aquatic Park to 50,000 m2, where you will find 16 attractions and slides, as well as over 8,500 m2 of water-covered surface area. What are you waiting for? Come and enjoy a water adventure in the brand new and spectacular Costa Caribe Aquatic Park.
