Find out more: ⇒ https://www.pptravel.com/oktoberfest Oktoberfest has the best German beer, the best German Food and the best German people and Munich's Oktoberfest can certainly teach you how to drink beer!! Upcoming German Beer Festival Calendar Oktoberfest 2019 Dates - Saturday September 21st to Sunday October 6th Oktoberfest 2020 Dates – Saturday September 19th to Sunday October 4th Oktoberfest 2021 Dates – Saturday September 18th to Sunday October 3rd What is Oktoberfest? This massive German Beer Festival is essentially an anniversary party commemorating the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese back in 1810 on October 12th. Munich's Oktoberfest in 2019 will mark the 212th anniversary of the wedding. Where is Oktoberfest? Originally in the fields outside the Munich city gates which is an area now known as the Theresienwiese after the princess. Half of the Theresienwiese is coverd by amazing rides, side show attractions, food stalls and Schnapps tents. The other half boasts 14 beerhalls. Like everything about the Oktoberfest the beer halls or beer tents are huge. They sit over 4000 people inside and more in the beer gardens. In fact over 100,000 people can be seated at Munich Beer Festival tables! You are served steins (1 litre jugs called Mass Bier) of the local brew by the beer waitresses and waiters, entertained by Oompah bands - the atmosphere is amazing. The Oktoberfest always finishes on the first Sunday in October. In 2019 this great Bavarian Beer Festival runs from noon on Saturday, 21st of September to Sunday, 6th of October. Did you know: ✔ People from Munich and Bavarians don’t call the event Oktoberfest. To them, it's the “Wies’n”, after the Theresienwiese field where Oktoberfest is held. ✔ Oktoberfest beer is a bit stronger than normal beer at around 6%. It's not a larger but a Marzen style beer and it's brewed in March and permitted to age preparing it for late summer drinking. ✔ Oktoberfest in Munich is world-famous but is still predominantly attended by Bavarians and only around 15% of guests reside from outside of Germany. ✔ Albert Einstein was employed at Oktoberfest putting up beer tents in his youth. ✔ The Oktoberfest beer consumption record was set in 2011 when guests drank 7.5 million litres of Munich's favourite tipple. ▶To earn more about the Oktoberfest check out these links: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oktoberfest https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oktoberfest_celebrations The OFFICIAL MUNICH'S OKTOBERFEST WEBSITE https://www.oktoberfest.de ▶Please do connect with us on these other social media platforms: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pptravel Twitter: https://twitter.com/pptravel Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pptravel Tumblr: https://pptravel.tumblr.com ▶Please check out our other good friends: https://www.facebook.com/munichoktoberfest Oktoberfest · Oktoberfest München · Oktoberfest Party . Check out our new video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5xVl5TUR7A The ANZAC Day Gallipoli Dawn Service is one of the most reverent experiences you'll ever have the opportunity to witness. The ANZAC Day Gallipoli Dawn Service and the Gallipoli Remembrance Services are held each year on the 25th Day of April. Find out more about ANZAC Day Gallipoli through these links: http://www.anzacdaytoursgallipoli.com https://www.pptravel.com/anzac day https://www.facebook.com/anzacdaygallipoli https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anzac_Day https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallipoli_Campaign #anzacday #gallipoli #lestweforget #pptravel #remembranceday Gallipoli ANZAC Day 2019 is on the 25th April 2019 in Gallipoli, Turkey. Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. Although this military campaign at Gallipoli failed in its objectives, the actions of the Australian and New Zealand troops left us all a powerful legacy. Gallipoli is seen to many as the birthplace of what has become known as the "ANZAC legend" and the identity of both nations. In 1916 the date, 25th April was officially named Anzac Day. Anzac Day services on the Gallipoli Peninsula are conducted by Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Britain and France. Again in 2019 services will be held on the 24th and 25th of April. Although the Gallipoli campaign failed in its military objectives of capturing Constantinople and knocking Turkey out of the war, the Australian and New Zealand actions during the campaign bequeathed an intangible but powerful legacy. The creation of what became known as the "ANZAC legend" became an important part of the national identity of both nations. This shaped the ways they viewed both their past and future. ANZAC Day at Gallipoli has become widely known to all Australians and New Zealanders and indeed many make the pilgrimage to the Gallipoli Peninsula each year on the 25th of April for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service and the following commemorative services at Lone Pine and at Chunuk Bair. ANZAC Day tours at Gallipoli are run every year and PP Travel operates the most economical and professional tours to the dawn service with a 100% proudly owned and operated Kiwi/Aussie (ANZAC) Company. They are an Australian and NZ DVA recognised Anzac Day tour operator. PP Travel will be at Anzac Cove in 2019 with their highly acclaimed authorised quality ANZAC Day Tours. Haro Wine Festival 🍷 Batalla del Vino 🍷 The Wine Fight Haro, Spain 🍷

00:23
Haro Wine Festival otherwise known as the Battle of Wine, La Batalla del Vino, Haro Wine Fight, San Vino Wine Battle and quite a few more descriptive naming adjectives is a Spanish fiesta like no other. It is messy, wet, hot and sticky but undoubtedly exuberant, crazy, juvenile and magnificent. #harowinefestival #labatalladelvino #winefight #rioja #sanvino #pptravel #haro Check out these awesome links to other Haro Wine Festival videos and further information about the Battle of Wine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyWBTk9k5EY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVGyJ6MkVkA Check out Wikipedia pages on the Wine Fight: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haro_Wine_Festival Check out PP Travels Tour Packages for the Batalla Del Vino: https://www.pptravel.com/event.asp?EID=haro-wine-fight-batalla-del-vino The Haro Wine Fight takes place in a small town of approximately 12,000 people located right in the centre of the Rioja area of Spain. Haro is the name of the town and if you visit there for the wine fight you'll not easy forget the place. The wine battle itself is a one-day, event, one morning only happening, that occurs on the 29th of June each year. It is short, sharp, crazy and awesome fun. Most combatants adorn the traditional red and white garb, then at 7am on the 29th, follow the mayor of Haro (who is on horseback) on a 5km procession out of town, up into the cliffs of Bilibio, to the Hermitage of San Felices (now days the local council puts on buses to transfer everyone up and down the cliffs). There are water trucks filled with wine, kegs and barrels filled with wine, buckets, wheelbarrows, kayaks, canoes, water pistols, cups, balloons, hands and just about any type of vessel you can think of, all filled with wine. A flag is then ceremoniously located and a short mass is endured before red, wet carnage ensues and everyone covers each other with wine. There are wine soaked bands playing traditional Spanish music and an amazing atmosphere of excitement, fun and exuberance. The San Vino Wine Fight is just a small part of the entire Haro Wine Festival program of events which last over a week and include a children's Wine Battle in the town square a few day before the adult version up on the side of the Cliffs of Bilibio. This incredible Battle of Wine just about includes the entire town in some way or another and is the towns main yearly fiesta of which they can be very proud. The Haro Wine Fight has become know internationally and is now a Festival of National Tourist Interest according to and decreed by the Spanish Government. If you love wine and love food fights, then this wine battle is the place for you to visit and something for your travel bucket list. Check out our newest Oktoberfest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5xVl5TUR7A Check out our La Tomatina Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah00TsVA9Nw We hope you enjoy our video of the Haro Wine Festival and we'll be sure to upload more videos soon in regards to the event, the town of Haro and the region of Rioja itself.
