fixing a stuck Wacom EK remote touch ring QF Ep 85

01:56
In this episode a very quick way to solve a problem with the Wacom EK remote touchring. Most of the time the EK remote works like a charm but in 6 months time I had 2 times the problem that the touchring didn't work anymore, the first time Wacom replaced the EK remote but the second time it happened I decided to do some investigation myself, and found a much better solution to fix this problem, it's a few seconds work.

Tip : Skin retouching with frequency separation

08:19
In this episode of Quite Frankly a quick technique for almost flawless skin retouching via frequency separation. This very powerful (and fast) technique is more precise and better than most plugins and gives you great control, the start is always the same, but after that every photographer/retoucher will find their own way of continuing, in this video I show you the way I use the technique when I need something fast but better than plugins. Remember that to keep the time of the video on the short side the retouching is done more "sloppy" than you would on a commercial job, it does however show you all the techniques.... This is episode 33 in the "Quite Frankly" series. Feel free to subscribe to our channel for more.

TIP solve that black screen on EVF cameras in the studio

02:51
If you have a modern camera with an EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) this tip might save your studio experience. On most of these cameras the performance outside is great, you see what you get and this really speeds up your workflow, however in the studio it's often a dissaster because the screen is totally black, when you come to think about it, that's actually how it should be right.... hardly any light and f11/f16 with a 1/125 shutterspeed. So are these cameras useless in the studio? No of course not, there is a setting that will solve that problem in an instant, on Sony it's called Setting effect, see the video for the tip. If you liked this video give it a big thumbs up and subscribe so we can keep on making them. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Follow me on G+, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and I will see you in the next video! The ideal USB (c) storage solution a review of the DROBO 5C, QF Ep98

13:10
Backups are incredibly important. Avoid learning the hard way and invest in a backup /storage system that fits your needs. In over 20 years of IT experience we've seen it all, people totally upset because they lost all their dear memories or businesses in total stress because they lost their information, don't let this happen to you. In this video Frank tells you about the award winning Drobo 5C. Store and protect your data with the Drobo 5C: World's First Self-Managing USB-C Storage Solution. Having a NAS is great but often there can be problems with for example Lightroom or other software that can't write to a file that's already open on a NAS, with the Drobo you don't have these problems but you still have a lot of the benefits from working on a NAS, like a secure Raid solution and the oppertunity to never have to worry about copying huge amounts of data when you want to switch to more space..... If you're serious about your data, this is the review/product for you.

Tip: Metering for high contrast scenes and retouching DC

08:59
In this tip from Digital classroom a very important one. How do you use your meter on location to make sure that in retouching/post you have enough "play room" to get the maximum dynamic range. One of the most asked questions when shooting high contrast scenes is "how to keep as much detail in the highlights and shadows as possible, and how to make the proper judgement on location" With this simple light meter technique you can literally save hours of retouching work or even prevent images of being unusable because of loss of detail. In essence you can meter almost any scene and know exactly how to set up your strobes/lighting to get exactly the results you want. Want to look like a magician for your clients? This is the technique that will save your images and give you the proper power over almost any situation. Lightroom tip Compact cells vs expanded cels

01:39
Do you have a camera/phone that shoots JPG and RAW but you only want to save the RAW, or do you want to see more info about your files? Of course you can just delete all JPGs but sometimes (especially in phones) you shoot a mix of JPGs for special modes and RAWs for the well.... RAW shots. By using Expanded vs Compact cells you can very easily see what's what. If you liked this video give it a big thumbs up and subscribe so we can keep on making them. Want to support this channel?
